The Royal Caribbean Group’s RCI HR Shipboard Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Manager, RCI Human Resources reporting to the Senior Director, HR RCI Shipboard.

 

The position is onsite and based in Miami, Florida.

 

Position Summary:

 

The Senior Manager, RCI Human Resources—reporting to the Senior Director, RCI Shipboard Human Resources—is a strategic HR leader and culture ambassador who partners across ship and shore to strengthen The ROYAL WAY, elevate engagement, and activate talent through scalable programs and clear accountability. 

 

This role is ideal for leaders who thrive in cross-functional environments, influence without authority, and translate crew feedback into practical actions that improve the onboard employee experience. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead HR workstreams for fleetwide HR initiatives—align scope, roles, and timelines; drive on-time delivery and measurable outcomes with Sr HRBPs and Operations partners 
  • Own the Crew Listening Strategy (Crew Matters and other surveys)—manage communications, onboard execution, and follow-through; set expectations and hold shipboard leaders accountable for ship-owned actions 
  • Analyze crew feedback and people KPI trends; partner with Operations leaders and COEs to prioritize actions, remove barriers, and track sustained improvement 
  • Lead, coach, and develop Traveling Crew Admin Managers to deliver consistent crew service, compliance, and core HR processes fleetwide 
  • Champion talent acquisition and for HR leader roles, serving as hiring manager and driving selection 
  • Own fleetwide HR Manager rotation planning and shipboard HR talent placement, balancing business needs, development opportunities, and operational continuity across the fleet 
  • Mobilize shared services, communications, and partner teams to execute cross-functional initiatives at scale 
  • Lead change management for enterprise initiatives—drive adoption, readiness, and clear communications from launch through sustainment 
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned, consistent with business needs 

 

Qualifications and Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources required; emphasis in Communications, Organizational Effectiveness, and service culture preferred; Master’s degree preferred; equivalent shipboard leadership experience may be considered 
  • 7–10 years of experience in HR, guest experience, or communications 
  • Experience in a shoreside role supporting shipboard teams preferred 
  • Proven management or consulting experience in a dynamic, highly complex global environment; strong understanding of brand culture; shipboard experience preferred 
  • Demonstrated track record delivering strategic work with partners at all levels—from senior leaders to individual contributors 
  • Experience serving as hiring manager and selecting leaders through structured interview and assessment practices 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive communications skills 
  • Self-starter with strong judgment, creativity, and decision-making ability 
  • Strong organization, project management, and problem-solving skills in cross-functional environments 
  • Skilled in communications planning and writing across formats (announcements, statements, press releases, articles, broadcast messages, letters, and more) 
  • Ability to design meaningful, inspiring culture and brand experiences 
  • Proficient with common communications, presentation, and survey tools 
  • Protects confidentiality without exception; exercises sound judgment 
  • Detail-oriented; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously 
  • Budget management experience
