The Royal Caribbean Group’s Talent Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Manager, Global Talent Development reporting to the Senior Director, Talent Strategy & Operations.

 

This role will work in-person in Miami, Florida.

 

Position Summary:

 

As the Senior Manager of Global Talent Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization through strategic leadership and innovative talent, learning, and leadership initiatives. You will manage, inspire, and mentor a high-performing team of analysts, fostering a collaborative environment that drives both individual and team success. Your strategic vision and ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics will be key to enhancing our talent processes and ensuring alignment with the broader objectives of the organization. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Leadership Excellence: Lead, inspire, and mentor a diverse team of analysts, cultivating a culture of collaboration and high performance that aligns with our company’s values and goals. 
  • Talent & Skill Development: Develop and implement global initiatives to enhance development processes and opportunities for all shoreside employees and managers. This includes assessing organization dynamics, identifying areas for improvement, designing programs and trainings, and facilitating workshops and training sessions to enable these programs. 
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate the success of talent and learning initiatives and make data-driven adjustments as necessary.  Use data storytelling to communicate impact and outcomes to senior stakeholders. 
  • RCG University Development: Lead multiple initiatives to drive the success of RCG University, including programming strategy, learning space design, and measurement approaches to evaluate program effectiveness.  
  • Career Planning – Lead the career architecture work, including talent marketplace, skills strategy, career pathing and development planning. 
  • Learning technology – help drive new learning tech system implementations 
  • Facilitation: Facilitate specialized training and development sessions for specific business groups, tailoring content and delivery to meet their unique needs and objectives. 
  • Talent Strategy Alignment: Collaborate with senior leadership to build and execute comprehensive strategic plans for Talent and Learning & Development (L&D) projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and market trends. 
  • Champion Change: Act as a change agent, promoting transparent communication and effective change management practices within your team and across the organization. Provide regular updates and manage stakeholder expectations during significant talent management and learning initiatives. 
  • Inspiring Leadership: Guide and motivate a team of 2-3 direct reports, leveraging strong decision-making skills and an empowering leadership style to drive results and foster a culture of accountability. 
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Support the management of key investments in talent and learning and development initiatives. 
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the Talent team, broader HR functions, and across the organization, ensuring alignment and collaboration on people initiatives. 
  • Expert Advisory: Provide expert consulting services to internal teams, sharing best practices in talent management, team dynamics, and organizational effectiveness to drive continuous improvement. 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills: 

 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. 
  • Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in program management, with a minimum of 5 years in a management role. Experience in talent management and Learning & Development (L&D) projects is highly desirable. 
  • Leadership and People Management: Proven experience in managing and leading project teams, with exceptional people management skills.   
  • Strategic Planning: Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing strategic plans for talent and L&D projects.   
  • Communication: Stellar verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and effectively.   
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Extensive experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation.   
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. 
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the organization. 
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within HR, Talent Management, learning and development, or Organizational Development. 
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing budgets and resources effectively. 
  • A passion for developing talent and fostering a positive organizational culture.
