The Royal Caribbean Group’s Silversea Cruises Ltd Brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Senior Manager, Finance Capital Projects & Business Analytics reporting to the VP of Finance.

 

This position works on-site in Miami, Florida.

 

Position Summary:

 

This position will be responsible for leading and participating in all types of financial planning, budgeting activities, and control procedures, with primary focus around Capital Projects, Business Initiatives, and Process / Cost Optimization efforts. This position will also be responsible for support and oversight of the financial forecasting and analysis for the Cormorant Hotel.

 

This individual must demonstrate an extensive experience in budgeting and forecasting as well as excellent business sense and judgment, well developed analytical problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal and relationship development skills, constant and direct communication, and interaction with the Corporate, Shared Services and Brand Leadership up to and including all Department Heads and Brand President.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Providing complex financial framework for strategic projects and overall capital investment management.
  • Business partnering and providing analytical support and actionable insights.
  • Identifying financial and process opportunities (efficiencies, cost savings, etc).
  • Preparing reporting of financial results and strategic plan for presentation to Brand President, Finance VP, other Department Heads and RCG Capital Planning, and other RCG Leadership, as needed.
  • Representing Finance Department in all integration efforts.
  • Supporting the Cormorant Accounting and Finance teams with respect to financial forecasting, analysis of financial results and preparation of materials for the Cormorant Board of Directors.

 

Business Partnership and Financial Leadership: 

 

  • Supporting the development, assessment, and implementation of the Brand strategies.
  • Responsible for adding value to the business and focusing on opportunities for growth and efficiencies, while supporting financial management and analysis of the profitability of investment programs.
  • Integrating financial solutions through collaboration with operations teams and financial planning & analysis team, both at the Brand and RCG Corporate level.
  • Managing effectively to reach targeted results and alignment between brand strategy and capital decisions.

 

Capital Management: 

 

  • Owning and managing Silversea’s capital forecast, conducting monthly variance analysis, and presenting key findings to senior leadership to drive informed actions.
  • Directing and managing financial and business analysis for capital projects.
  • Developing business cases for the Brand’s long-term strategic projects, as well as alignment of commercial development project strategies.
  • Closing interaction with Brand Strategy, GMO, and Newbuild to support the budgeting and analysis (actual results) of Brand’s newbuilding and revitalization program.
  • Owning and overseeing (through partnership with Corporate), the internal (capital labor), depreciation and amortization forecasting process at the Brand-level.
  • Providing monthly tracking and reporting of capital spend and forecasted spend available for executive review and decision-making.
  • Ownership and execution of relevant key SOX controls.

 

Cost Optimization Responsibilities:

 

  • Leading cost optimization and efficiency initiatives by identifying, assessing, and driving cost-saving and process-efficiency opportunities.
  • Serving as PMO for cost optimization programs, including initiative scoping, workplan development, timeline management, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Partnering with Operations, Shared Services, and Transformation teams to proactively identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and spend reduction.
  • Owning initiative tracking, governance, and reporting, including dashboards and scorecards summarizing milestones, risks, and financial impact.
  • Developing and validating financial business cases supporting cost optimization and process improvement initiatives.
  • Validating and tracking realized savings to ensure accuracy, sustainability, and appropriate financial treatment.
  • Preparing executive-level materials summarizing progress, key insights, financial outcomes, and risks.

 

The Cormorant Hotel - Joint Venture:

 

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for the financial review and analysis of “The Cormorant” budgeting process as well as actual results.
  • Collaborating with Operations, Corporate Accounting and the hotel’s Accounting and Finance team to ensure accuracy and alignment with overall brand strategies.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Graduate from a Business School/Ecole de Commerce (or equivalent).
  • Master's degree in finance, MBA, CPA, and/or CFA is a plus.
  • 5+ years progressive experience in financial management at a large corporation.
  • 2-3+ years leading, coaching, mentoring direct reports.
  • Expert level skills in complex financial modeling.
  • Resourceful self-starter with excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of making independent decisions.
  • Good knowledge of a major ERP in administrator mode.
  • Financial & IT literacy (Excel, Pivot-tables, ERP, ACCESS/SQL/OLAP technologies).
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability.
  • Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines.
  • Strategic thinking and great presentation skills.
  • Willingness to work long hours, when necessary.
  • Experience in Team and Project Management.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Exceptional communication and people skills as this candidate will be required to create and deliver presentations to Brand President, Executives, and others throughout the organization.
  • Adheres to internal accounting policies and guidelines.
  • Able to translate complex technical subjects into clear business-oriented communications.
  • Accepts accountability and manages execution of individual and team results at corporate and divisional level.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with other operating teams within the Brands and throughout the organization.
  • Builds knowledge of value generation as well as in-depth familiarity with key financial and operational data.
  • Demonstrates ability to efficiently manage continuous flow of requests and oversee critical decision-making.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including long-term financial modeling, financial analysis, and business acumen.
  • Develops and monitors performance of direct reports.
