The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Manager, Business Integration reporting to the Director, Business Integration.

 

This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida

 

As a key member of the Private Destination Development team reporting to Director, Business Integration, the Senior Manager, Business Integration plays a critical role in managing, planning, and execution of enterprise-level projects that stem from the corporation’s destination initiatives focusing on value creation, change management, and portfolio expansion. The Senior Manager, Business Integration will work cross-functionally with team and leaders to drive broad-ranging integration initiatives, evaluate business improvement opportunities, and leverage insightful analytics to support and influence activities across the private destination developments This individual will be responsible for the Mexico project and will play a crucial role in integrating Royal Caribbean with the existing port experience in Mexico. This includes the relocation of the transportation hub, food and beverage operations, and any other guest experiences that will be utilized by Royal Caribbean and other cruise lines visiting the private destination. The ideal candidate will need to leverage his/her experience to frame complex issues in terms of trade-offs, risks, and benefits.

 

The person in this position needs to have the experience, maturity, and confidence to interface with company leaders and business owners gathering consensus around solutions, support cross-functional teams and drive outcomes. Effective management skills (communication, collaboration, curiosity, persistency, empathy and responsibility) are essential to drive integration via cross functional and multi-disciplinary teams throughout the organization and beyond. This individual will be collaborating with various departments, including (but not limited to) HR, IT, Safety & Security, Legal, Consumer Insights & Analytics and Operations functions as the driving force to deliver a flawless execution. The incumbent will have regular access to privileged and confidential information and therefore, discretion in the dissemination of such information is paramount.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage internal teams on implementation planning and integration for new destination developments
  • Identify, assess, and obtain consensus to develop and execute a variety of integration initiatives
  • Manage significant deal structuring and negotiations for destination developments
  • Superb stakeholder management skills- adept at mapping the stakeholder landscape and navigating this network to resolve issues and achieve strategic objectives
  • Manage due diligence efforts with executives, outside advisors, and internal subject matter experts
  • Oversee/conduct reporting on due diligence findings and provide summaries to C-Suite
  • Consult broadly and regularly with executives and other stakeholders for the purposes of defining objectives, setting priorities, managing risks, and ensuring proper governance
  • Manage direct reports plus a network of part-time project level resources and management consultants, as necessary
  • Oversee the development and fact-based reporting necessary to manage the land-based business integration portfolio and its stakeholders, driving accountability and transparency
  • Partner on integration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on the established outcome
  • Identify synergies across projects to maximize resources and create best-in-class experiences
  • Active interaction with C-Suite along with direct reporting functions to AVP of Product Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic, matrix environment by managing uncertainty and taking calculated risks to drive initiatives forward in a timely and effective manner
  • Capable of effectively managing time-sensitive, contractual, financial, regulatory, or legal issues that can have a direct impact on the execution of an array of initiatives tied to land-based development projects
  • Foster a highly collaborative cross-functional team, where cross-discipline dynamic communication is paramount to success

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, engineering or similar required; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 9 years of project/portfolio management experience in a corporate environment or consulting experience with leadership capacity, preferably with global/matrixed accountabilities
  • Proven track record in managing complex initiatives and matrixed stakeholders with aggressive timetables
  • Extensive familiarity on successful integrations, stakeholder management and expectations management
  • Cruise or travel industry experience a strong plus
  • Strong communication, and ability to present confidently to senior leadership and cross-functionals.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills especially in a multi-cultural environment
  • Excellent business acumen, including commercial management and legal contracts
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, strong desire to learn, and passion for flawless execution
  • Demonstrated team player with an ability to build teams and foster collaboration
  • Proven experience with building relationships, ability to influence others to change, and is capable of galvanizing others around a compelling vision and purpose
  • Broad experience in managing high-risk projects / programs with high visibility
  • Strong analytical, modeling, creative, and critical thinking skills with proven strategic planning experience
  • Ability to lead multiple teams effectively across multiple disciplines and levels of experience.
  • Experience with land/construction development preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with travel/hospitality preferred, but not required.
