The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Financial Sales Analyst reporting to the Manager, Commercial Finance.

 

 

Position is onsite and based in Miami, FL 


The Senior Financial Sales Analyst is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the department’s annual financial plan including various cost centers with multiple business leaders.  This role prepares and administers monthly SG&A forecasts, oversees month end accounting, quarterly incentives, and generates monthly financial variance explanations. The Sr Analyst is the point person for all financial requests and submissions for the department and work closely with other finance teams within the organization. This role leverages advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and provide actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. The Senior Sales Analyst plays a key role in monthly P&B analysis and the management of Sales Activities, ensuring accurate forecasting and effective spend control. The role communicates with management on a regular basis for decision making support and reviews all financial data for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the department’s annual financial plan and periodic financial reviews for various cost centers with multiple business leaders.
  • Prepares financial budget planning, analysis, month end accounting and variance explanations.
  • Prepares month end reclass entries, manual accruals, and Intercompany transactions for closing purposes to ensure all financial data has been captured and recorded correctly.
  • Monitors and ensures budget alignment for sales activities and special projects.
  • Ensure budget and coding review under the new “No PO, No Pay” process/system. 
  • Prepares and presents the monthly Finance SCOMP Certification to the Leadership Team.
  • Develops predictive incentive models and scenario analysis to support strategic planning.
  • Creates bridges and graphical representations of financial models for presentations to Sr. Management.
  • Conducts analyses of business data, evaluates trends and pattern changes, and learns to disperse results in a format appropriate for the audience.
  • Designs and maintains queries for processing of employee and financial data.
  • Partners with Sales Team member to align on Co-Op and Trade Shows commitments and Salesforce budgets. 
  • Maintains PBI Financial Dashboards for Sales Directors.
  • Maintains continuous contact with operating groups to keep current on business developments.
  • Assist with ongoing maintenance and development of Essbase/EPBCS planning and analysis.
  • Supports special projects by providing financial controls and analysis.
  • Responds to ad-hoc data and analysis needs while supporting various projects. 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, Accounting or related roles, preferably within hospitality, travel, or leisure industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline; advanced certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
  • Master's degree/CPA helpful.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Proven experience in supporting and interpreting reporting using Access or Business Intelligence tools (Hyperion Experience a plus).
  • Proven knowledge of financial systems (JDE and ESSBASE a plus).
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Ability to present information to executive management, internal and external customers clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Experience using Hyperion/Brio Reporting, Essbase, and JD Edwards tools.
  • Database knowledge experience using Microsoft Excel, Access, Power Point, Word.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times, take ownership of situations and escalate issues to the appropriate party for immediate resolution.
