Senior Director, Consumer Marketing

POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the guidance and direction of the Senior Vice President, Global Marketing, the Senior Director will support thought leadership by the Silversea consumer marketing team in order to deliver high quality, timely and high-impact outputs while ensuring productivity aligns with the organization’s global goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive business by connecting, engaging and developing loyalty with consumers using storytelling, business insights and data acumen; create consumer preference and engagement through campaigns that deliver specific and measurable KPIs; create consideration and adoption of key products and services
     
  • Develop a global marketing plan that transforms the Silversea brand and the industry using data analytics to make strategic and data-driven decisions. Works continuously with SVP of Global Marketing to assess business results vs. strategic goals and develop changes to strategy when needed to deliver results.

 

  • Lead and mentor an integrated team to be high performing marketers; oversee their daily activities including budgeting, marketplace planning and staff development; define their agendas, focus, and roadmaps to align with corporate and business goals. Drive the implementation of the Campaign management system, and the corresponding measurement framework to continually improve the customer's journey and experience.

 

  • Develop partnerships and strong relationships with cross-functional groups and trusted external agencies and consultants, always taking a solutions neutral approach to supporting new ideas that drive strategic marketing opportunities.

 

  • Play leadership role with consumer research to derive qualitative and quantitative insights around consumer travel motivations, behaviors, and attitudes; manage brand health measurement and translate findings into actionable strategies.

 

  • Perform other duties as assigned and agreed upon, given the expansion of the current Marketing organization and the expected growth of the fleet.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-10 years’ in corporate brand management              

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred; however, significant experience will be considered   
     
  • Global marketing experience preferred; consumer marketing experience with a Luxury brand required

 

  • Proven ability to develop cohesive consumer-first campaigns
     
  • Comfortable in hyper growth, fast paced, self-starter environment
     
  • Adept at working in a cross-functional, matrixed organization

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Demonstrated knowledge in the design and execution of marketing and communications activities
     
  • Effective, articulate, persuasive public speaking and presentation skills; excellent writing and editing skills
     
  • Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching a team of marketing and communications specialists

 

  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving capabilities
