The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Analyst, Vessel Pricing & Cost Optimization reporting to the Senior Director, Newbuild Finance.

 

 

Position is onsite and based in Miami, FL 

 

The Senior Analyst, Vessel Pricing & Cost Optimization role is responsible for delivering accurate, forward‑looking cost insights across prototype and sister ship projects, supporting informed technical, design, and commercial decision‑making. This position develops and maintains comprehensive cost forecasts, risk assessments, and executive‑level reporting on vessel pricing, budget variances, and financial opportunities.

The role partners closely with cross‑functional teams, including technical, design, commercial, site offices, and external consultants, to ensure cost considerations are embedded early in project development and change management processes. Responsibilities include validating cost savings initiatives, reviewing and confirming pricing accuracy for change orders, tracking savings realization, and documenting yard credits.

In addition, the position plays a key role in gathering and maintaining vessel cost data, supporting cost modeling tools and reference databases, and monitoring key cost drivers such as inflation indices, labor assumptions, supplier trends, and turnkey pricing. Through disciplined financial analysis and strong collaboration, this role helps optimize project costs, manage risk, and improve overall pricing transparency and accuracy. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Create and update cost forecasts for technical and design elements and options across prototype and sister ship projects.
  • Compile cost risk assessments for leadership and project teams, including trends and budget variances. 
  • Prepare recurring executive level reporting on vessel pricing, risks, and opportunities.

Cost Optimization & Change Management

  • Support the identification and validation of cost savings initiatives.
  • Track savings realization and coordinate with site offices to confirm and document yard credits. 
  • Review change orders for pricing accuracy and work with site office experts to validate cost consistency.

CrossFunctional Partnership

  • Participate in key technical, design, and commercial workstreams to deliver real-time cost references and gather / communicate pricing insights.
  • Ensure costing perspectives are incorporated early into design and development decisions including the assessment and consideration of relevant cost drivers and risks.
  • Partner with external technical consultants to ensure formulate and deliver accurate cost estimates.

Data Collection & Cost Modeling

  • Gather vessel pricing and cost inputs from site offices, commercial teams, and yard partners.
  • Support the buildout and maintenance of the Ship Component Pricing Model and reference cost databases. 
  • Maintain accurate tracking of inflation indices, labor assumptions, turnkey pricing, and supplier cost trends.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or related field.  
  • 3–5+ years of experience in financial analysis, pricing, cost engineering, or project finance.  
  • Strong Excel based financial modeling and analytical problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
