Senior Analyst, Technical Private Destination Operations

The Royal Caribbean Group’s Private Destinations team has an exciting career opportunity for a full Senior Analyst, Technical Private Destination Operations reporting to the Director, Technical Private Destinations.

Position Overview 

 

This position is responsible for assisting the Senior Manager, Technical with administering all processes and procedures associated with the support and management of technical operations for all existing and upcoming Private Destinations. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical, this role will collaborate closely with the Director of Technical, Technical Manager and most technical management on site at our destinations on all aspects of operations and project planning. This position will be a crucial part of the day-to-day support and future planning of all private destinations related to maintenance and operation.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement processes and procedures crucial for the successful operation, and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to technical performance and cost efficiencies and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and business cases to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress updates to senior leadership related to equipment condition and department spend.
  • Ability to collect data from the team regarding multiple asset streams like: Electric trams, main generators, water slides, and accommodations to present history of maintenance, cost of assets, and present those findings in an organized manner.
  • Coordinate vendor visits multiple locations related to travel, work permits, and accommodations with an understanding of local requirements.
  • Utilize analytical tools and techniques to gather, interpret, and present data related to stakeholders.
  • Provide analytical support and insights to inform decision-making processes related to resource allocation, budget planning, performance evaluation, workforce planning, and process effectiveness.
  • Assist the Senior Manager, Technical in partnering with Supply Chain to lead the creation of requisitions for spare parts, track approval status, delivery dates, and Logistic coordination to our destinations, including negotiating with third party vendors.
  • Complete special projects while utilizing creative solutions to develop areas of technical support and Asset Management functions such as energy savings, competitive vendor pricing, component registrations, and other new technologies that help increase the performance of our existing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of strategies and objectives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the Technical and Asset Management team.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders to collect, analyze, review, and present key performance indicators and other metrics to aid decision-making.
  • Identify inefficiencies in operational processes and develop solutions to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
  • Capture action plans and timelines for activities and projects. Complete follow-ups and provide feedback to stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings, take detailed meeting minutes, and compile comprehensive summaries when required.
  • Create visually appealing presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to management and other stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications and Education

  • Four-year Bachelor's or equivalent (MBA preferred) or three to five years related experience in hospitality.
  • Knowledge of company internal programs like AMOS, JDE and Oracle, Agiloft for contracts, and Tungsten.
  • Experience working in diverse international environments.
  • Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of operational personnel. 
  • Proficiency in using a wide range of software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Calendar).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Zoom for remote communication and collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to interpret and present complex information effectively using analysis and visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

Financial / Quantitive Responsibilities

Support the Senior Technical Manager in budget planning and order tracking for both operational and capital resource allocation, ensuring efficient daily operations and strategic long-term planning across all destinations.

 

Working Conditions

 

Destination outdoor environment where high temperature, precipitation, and humid temperatures are experienced. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is required to work outdoors in extremely humid and hot conditions for an extended period. This is a position where duties are exercised outdoors, walking in sand, and uneven surfaces.

 

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste and smell. The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. All Destination Team Members must be physically able to participate in emergency life-saving procedures and drills. Full use/range of motion of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal, and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency.
