Senior Analyst, Hotel Operations

Position Summary:

The Hotel Operations Senior Analyst will be responsible to support the Royal Caribbean International fleet in project management, reporting, and process improvement.  Additionally, the position will produce timely and detailed operational reports used to track both ship personnel and ship overall ratings and performance throughout the year. This position is also responsible for the ongoing development, coordination and maintenance of the companys Safety and Quality Management System (SQM) for the Royal Caribbean brand within Hotel Operations.  Finally, the position will assist with overseeing the Brand Standards program within the RCI fleet.    Must be able to communicate with all levels of management both shipboard and shoreside.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates various reports and presentations to measure progress and success. 
  • Establishes and implements changes and deletions into the designated Hotel Operations SQM Manuals, ensures that the proper formats are used, and proper approvals are obtained prior to publishing updated content.
  • Subject Matter Expert on all key high-level initiatives and projects and acts as facilitator for review of all related Hotel Operations Policies and Procedures.
  • Recommends improvements and drafts proposals to operational policies and procedures within SQM or company brand standards. 
  • Identifies and implements policies and procedures with shipboard teams.
  • Standardizes reporting and processes to ensure consistency throughout the fleet
  • Tracks shipboard performance and KPIs to measure shipboard success 
  • Analyzes reporting to recommend process improvements and efficiencies. 
  • Leads projects including, but not limited to Injury Prevention, Product Development, Diversity and Inclusion, Management Continuity, Brand Standards, Ship transition planning, Ship hand-over assignments and other ongoing management projects.
  • Manages special projects through project management methodology and tracking tools, and creates workplans, timelines, milestone trackers, risks and issue logs.
  • Uses innovative and critical thinking to help create new transformational financial and performance tracking reports 
  • Assist with development of the Brand Standards and The ROYAL Way culture onboard ¿Perform other duties as required. Employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management. 
  • Manages the SharePoint and Homeport for Hotel Operations 
  • Assists with overseeing the injury prevention project list and monthly injury prevention BSC. 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong administrative, organizational, follow up and writing skills are necessary.
  • Bachelors degree with emphasis on Business Management, Hospitality or equivalent is preferred.
  • Two (2+) years onboard cruise ship experience and/or shore side experience supporting the ships Experience in project management 
  • Solid computer skills, including knowledge of Homeport, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time both international and domestic. 
  • Must be detail orientated and process driven.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships amongst various groups of individuals, across a multi-cultural departmental environment. 
  • Possess solid planning skills and the ability to teach, council and train staff. Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management. 
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures manual. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and customers.
