Senior Analyst, F&B POS Support

Position Summary:

Based in Miami, FL and reporting to the, Senior Manager Operational Excellence, the senior analyst position is 100% focused on supporting the Food & Beverage team.

 

As a senior analyst at our corporate headquarters, you’ll be part of a top-notch global workforce. Then within our world class Food and Beverage team, you will be exposed to a “full plate” with real life business and operational need requests and work on projects alongside our team, all the while developing relevant skills to become a future F&B leader.

 

The function of this role will be supporting analysis and operational needs for the department including updates and export files for point of sales systems. It will cover data analytics and operational procedural excellence whether project management support or through ad hoc analysis. The role will also support the planning, creating, updating and editing primarily technical information, department presentations, recipes, operating procedures and or SOPs. They will maintain and cost recipes, support administrative functions needed for our office, and may archive in internal databases.

 

As a developmental role, this job will require someone who will take initiative, project manage their own tasks, and be able to understand current company and department initiatives to prioritize their work and their impact on making great vacations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Owner of content, timelines, and deliverables in the food and beverage PMO. Guides delivery of each project and collaborates with area owners.
  • Creates ad-hoc reporting on business relative food and beverage initiatives, analyzes and compiles data found, and makes thoughtful operational suggestions. 
  • Creates shoreside material such as powerpoints, documents, or SQM edits related to food and beverage initiatives, policies, or briefs.
  • Works with the shoreside culinary team on specific culinary taskforce assignments. Participates and support the F&B department in all initiatives to achieve culinary excellence, consistency, and quality.
  • Partners with POS team to implement system enhancements through export files or suggested changes to reduce onboard complains like charge disputes.
  • Liaison with IT for POS to support continuous improvement initiatives such as an FPMS system through our WOW team for usability requirements.
  • May document procedures and/or proof process documents to ensure optimization especially with POS.
  • Builds and edits export documents for POS for food and beverage revenue centers and ensures the accuracy and integrity of data and accounting information including coordinating and resolving content change management for POS software.
  • Develops solutions for full POS content review and find solutions to existing problems such as meal period assignments, inaccurate dish names or new modifier placements, and accuracy of dishes served in venue.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Buisness, or Hotel Administration or related field 
  • 3 years previous experience working in restaurants/bars or cafes at entry level positions preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hospitality type role a must. Previous analytics preffered.
  • Ability to travel internationally for ship visits or conferences for 3-14 day durations.
  • Knowledge of food handling, beverage handling, safe provisions management and service procedures a plus.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. 
  • High level of critical thinking.
  • Previous experience in a role where point of sales was used (even retail) a plus.   
  • Ability to be adaptable and comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment 
  • General understanding of basic culinary techniques, basic bar tending techniques, and restaurant operations.
  • Fluent in reading and writing English.
  • Ability to think strategically, while managing the details.
  • Skills using all Microsoft programs, especially powerpoint.
  • Desire and willingness to visit onboard and act with professionalism as an extension of our team.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, agendas, and Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must possess project management skills with ability to analyze multitudes of data, down to the details of specific requirements.
