Senior Analyst, F&B Graphic Designer

The Royal Caribbean Group’s F&B team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Analyst, F&B Graphic Designer reporting to the Senior Director, Restaurant Operations.

The F&B Team seeks a talented Graphic Designer to join our team. As a key member of the F&B Team you’ll specialize for creating high-quality visuals for print and digital platforms, including menu design, flyers, posters and other publications. This position also includes supporting with special SOPs and PowerPoints that require graphics or a level of design to help bring them to life.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create menus for all F&B venues across the fleet using desktop publishing and design software programs.
  • Create original artwork and illustrations for use in various projects.
  • Responsible for the creation of menu versioning for various languages.
  • Ensure creative layouts and concepts are in keeping with brand standards, look and feel.
  • Select colors, fonts, photographs, layouts, and other design elements from the approved libraries to communicate creative concepts.
  • Collaborate with team on concepts, copy, layout, and production to translate vision and needs into design strategies.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and within budget parameters.
  • Maintain a digital archive of design files, ensuring easy access and version control.
  • Inspects jobs for accuracy before sending them to output.
  • Ensures correct material is used for each job and output device settings are accurate.
  • Maintain all fonts, logos, photography and other graphic art files for immediate retrieval.
  • Prepare final files for print by following industry-standard pre-press guidelines.
  • Develop and execute editorial layouts that are visually appealing and align with the brand’s guidelines and overall aesthetics.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to brand standards across all design outputs for all projects.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to develop concepts and designs that effectively communicate key messages.
  • Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and technology to continually improve design quality and efficiency.
  • Able to travel 10-20%.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall project management and oversight of projects assigned (e.g., scope, timing of deliverables, feedback & review sessions, costs).
  • Responsible for maintaining relationships with internal customer and external vendors and track contracted scopes of work and deliverables to project.
  • Responsible for timely processing and tracking of all vendor invoices associated with the project.
  • Analyze internal and external vendor spend and make recommendations for budget projections.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field.
  • Approximately 5-7 years of professional experience as a Graphic Designer, with a focus on menu design for both print and digital media.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work.
  • Excellent understanding of typography, layout, and color theory.
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Are curious, ambitious, entrepreneurial, thorough, relentless and committed.
  • Excellent writing, editing, research and presentation skills.
  • Collaborate with managers, peers and designers to develop compelling content and creative products.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and personnel for a fast-paced office in highly organized and efficient fashion.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, media and other external audiences.
  • Meet simultaneous deadlines, troubleshoot and manage multiple projects at once.

Physical Demands

While performing job functions the employee is regularly required to sit, and stand, write, review and type reports, compile data, operate a pc, communicate, listen, and assess information.  The employee may move about the office complex, may travel to other office locations and may lift, push, pull or move 25-35 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to walk to the dock, ascend and descend the vessel. This position may regularly travel domestically or internationally. Visual requirements include distant, close and color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities include traveling between numerous offices.  A high noise level is possible if visiting shipboard or offsite locations.
