Royal Caribbean Group’s Silversea Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Analyst, Expeditions Program Management Office on the Destinations Development Team reporting to the AVP, Expedition Innovation and Operational Excellence.
This position will work onsite in Miami, Florida
Position Summary:
Royal Caribbean Group has established itself at the forefront of a dynamic and competitive cruise industry, well-positioned to continue its strong growth over the next decade and beyond. The Group offers three cruise brands, Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea Cruises that each offer products worldwide.
The Silversea Expeditions team is responsible for creating, enabling and operating expedition voyages worldwide which include some of the furthest-reaching destinations on Earth such as Antarctica, Artic regions, Australia and the South-Pacific. The Senior Analyst, Expedition Program Management Office will work closely with all stakeholders within the Expedition team include its executive leadership to lead,
- Reporting (e.g. financial performance, guest ratings, brand initiatives),
- Process improvement and change management initiatives,
- Special projects and,
- Analytics (e.g. create dashboards, define metrics, etc.)
that will support the Expedition team’s ability to manage operations. An important part of this role will be to support leadership in driving the consistent and well-executed delivery of the expedition product.
There will be exposure to senior management with the opportunity to work closely with Operations, Shore Ex, Destination Development, Marketing, Sales, Revenue Management, International, IT, Corporate Strategy, Branded deployment teams and other departments within the Company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather perspectives and shape the vision: We will look to you to build strong relationships across the company to understand existing processes, outline requirements, and build use cases for our future tools and processes.
- Lead the way for how we revolutionize our ways of working together: Oversee the development and execution of various projects and process improvement initiatives by coordinating across stakeholders to set the end goal and then break it out into a detailed plan.
- Ask the important questions and sweat the details: Expeditions is incredibly multi-faceted and our tools and processes must be able to scale with us as we poise for rapid growth. Together with others, you will evaluate solutions, balance competing priorities, and guide the project to stay on budget and on schedule.
- Spearhead the charge on exciting new technologies: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new planning & reporting tools. Working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, you will outline business requirements, make design decisions, and lead the rollout of a long-term and high-impact initiative that will reshape how we plan itineraries.
- Power best-in-class standards across the team: Before we improve a process, we must understand. You will lead department-wide efforts to document our ways of working to reinforce best practices and standardize our processes, building a repository of knowledge to further support future analysis and automation.
- Share our passion for telling the story of our itineraries: You will be our go-to for developing presentations, trainings, and other materials for use in both internal and external settings, using your creativity to present the topic at hand in a compelling way.
- Lead and inspire others: You will be responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, and development of one or two direct reports as the team expands in the future.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university with a concentration in business, industrial engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience supporting analytics, projects, operations or leading process improvement efforts.
- Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail: you are an expert at tailoring your message to best connect with your audience and bring others along, energizing them toward a shared mission
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerBI (or Tableau), and project management software.
- Expedition or cruise industry knowledge and/or experience preferred.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
