The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Analyst, Deployment and Forecasting reporting to the Senior Director, Automation & Analytics.
Position is onsite and based in Miami, FL
This position will support the Revenue Management strategy and Analytics team, collaborating across the brand to ensure the right data is being applied to deployment analyses. The core function is to recommend where our ships should be deployed, through data, and optimize which guests will fill those ships. This position will influence the strategic direction and financial performance of Royal Caribbean International through quantitative analysis and market research partnering with Deployment, Commercial Development, Port Operations, Product Development, Newbuild, Destination, and International Market teams. This position will also support our Net Ticket Revenue forecasting efforts. The core function will be to provide a neutral view to product performance, identify opportunities on a product level and communicate these findings to leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support long terms deployment strategic initiatives.
- Responsible for monitoring progress and micro and macro-economic trends to adjusting strategy based on results and changes in markets or the industry
- Leverage post cruise guest satisfaction data to quantify impact of various revenue initiatives on net promoter scores
- Performs revenue, costs, deployment and operational analysis to better inform deployment decisions that will have a long-range impact on the Royal Caribbean International Brand. Utilizes all data available to make most informed and data-driven decisions
- Collaborates with Deployment team in preparation of senior executive level presentations
- Works collaboratively with all departments across the brand on inputs to deployment analysis and decision-making, considering the different perspectives, incorporating these differences into the analysis and making an optimal and impartial recommendation
- Produce a net ticket forecast on a monthly basis based off recent and historical trends
- Present findings to leadership that highlights the opportunities at a ship and product level
- Create new tools and best practices that will guide our Revenue Management product team
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, and MBA preferred; 2 to 4 years of business analytics experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality, clear and concise presentations
- Itinerary planning, Forecasting and/or Revenue Management experience highly desired.
- Pro-active and collaborative approach.
- Proficiency in Excel, Brio Intelligence/Hyperion Studio, Oracle SQL, PowerBI, Word, and PowerPoint required and ability to manipulate data essential
- Critical thinker, who demonstrates drive and a desire to improve processes where appropriate
- Requires outstanding business writing and oral communications skills and the ability to create and deliver presentations to senior executives and others.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse group of co-workers and influence.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with ability to handle multiple projects.
- Attention to detail required.
- Ability to operate in a team environment.
