Senior Account Executive, Brand & Product Marketing

This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Account Executive, Product Marketing, supports managers and project leads with strategizing, developing and delivering marketing campaigns for new products including ships, destinations, and onboard products and programs. This role works across departments including Marketing, Sales, Deployment, Revenue, Product Development, Operations and other, to organize, develop and distribute necessary product information, including product concept briefs, as well as ensuring the timely and effective delivery of marketing components. This role requires an individual that is a self-starter, highly organized, with strong attention to detail, and clear communication skills.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and/or support the managers and project leads in all steps of project planning and marketing campaign execution including strategy development, timelines and key milestones, channel plans, and analyzing metrics.
  • Develop the strategic framework for the development of integrated marketing campaigns, by utilizing research, competitive and trend analysis.
  • Engage with senior management and executives when presenting or communicating product development, business objectives and concept design of new partnerships, product offerings or critical business decisions.
  • Possesses in-depth understanding of the strategic objectives and tactical plans of the marketing organization and actively seeks and develops opportunities to broaden the reach and effectiveness of marketing.
  • Secure relevant information and inputs from research, analytics, product development and consumer insights teams to inform an effective product positioning.
  • Work with the internal creative team and external vendors as needed to develop briefs, creative assets and other deliverables related to the campaign
  • Collaborate across company teams and channels to ensure all teams have a full understanding of the product details and marketing plan; assist channels as needed to develop their product marketing initiatives
  • Continually review and ensure accurate and consistent information about key products in the marketplace; secure and distribute updates to relevant teams as the product information and marketing plan evolves
  • Ensures the accuracy of product-related information in the marketplace; works to immediately resolve misinformation or consumer confusion
  • Develops detailed project timelines and calendars with key milestones for the product marketing campaign, as well as other relevant corporate, retail and holiday activities that could influence the campaign
  • Facilitates the development of campaign presentations to executive leaders
  • Provides weekly reporting and status updates to department leadership

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-7 years relevant experience in marketing, sales, business or communications.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university.
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills & relationship-building skills.
  • Must have the passion to become the subject matter expert for their owned products, with infectious enthusiasm that will make others just as inspired to work on them.
  • Ability to think critically, take initiative and work autonomously.
  • Project management experience and skillset
  • Experience working with campaign assets and creative specs a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems including Word, PowerPoint, Excel; SharePoint a plus.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

The Senior Account Executive should have a comprehensive understanding of the Royal Caribbean International brand and insight into the competitive landscape. The position is expected to possess a deep understanding of the business segments they represent and to proactively recommend marketing opportunities to drive results. Comprehensive understanding and experience in effective internal and external communication strategies. Ability to apply analytical, financial, conceptual, and strategic thinking to objectives, proposals, and performance. Ability to actively participate in cross-functional teams to define and implement product development and partnership strategies. Strong presentation skills and ability to interact with all departments and levels of management throughout the organization, as well as, with external customers, partners and companies. Ability to analyze key metrics of integrated marketing campaigns. Remains current on industry trends, business opportunities and competitive intelligence. Ability to work against deadlines.
