The Royal Caribbean Group’s Royal Caribbean International brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full Sales Strategy Analyst reporting to the Sales Team.

 

This position will be working on-site from Miami, Florida. 

 

Position Summary:

A Market Development and Trade Strategy Sales Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting a variety of strategic and tactical initiatives within the Royal Caribbean Sales organization.  This includes, but is not limited to, determining prime booking windows to align core strategic efforts, overseeing the maximization of returns as it relates to the sales Co-Op process, assisting the Co-Op Lead in developing process reconciliation and performance grading, and providing analytic guidance to support promotional initiatives, such as booking contests, bonus commission incentives, and more.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and recommend opportunities to increase profitability with targeted, regional reporting.
  • Leverage historical trends to determine ideal timing for core strategic sales initiatives; Discover key booking windows for core US/Canada sourced products, including the ability to provide more detailed trends by ship, itinerary, Sales region, agency, etc
  • Actively participate in the planning and reconciliation of various sales initiatives such as booking contests, bonus commission incentives, sweepstakes, and more
  • Own and further evolve Co-Op reconciliation process under guidance of Co-Op Lead
  • Introduce grading metrics to determine profitability of Co-Op investments and measure ROI for each commitment.
  • Create Co-Op performance dashboard.
  • Support Market Development Manager, Co-Op Lead, and Trade Strategy Account Executive with day-to-day analytic needs.
  • Manage execution of all elements of projects to ensure timeliness, quality, and budgetary parameters are met.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college/university or at least a minimum of two-years’ experience in business analysis or related field is preferred.
  • Project management skills required.  
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organize and analyze large volumes of data, make sound business decisions/recommendations, and work independently.  
  • Experience in travel industry preferred.  
  • Travel Required: minimal at less than 5%.  
  •  Position is based in Miami, FL at Royal Caribbean headquarters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong skillset in Excel
  • Solid organization and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • The ability to work successfully as a team and independently.
  • Computer knowledge and usage skills, with the aptitude to learn new technology.
