The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Cruise Line's Revenue Management Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Revenue Management Analyst of River Cruises reporting to the Revenue Management Manager of River Cruises.
Position is onsite and based in Miami, FL.
Position Summary:
The cruise industry provides a dynamic and competitive environment with extensive growth over the next decade. Royal Caribbean Group is a leader of this industry offering three cruise brands, Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruise Lines, and Silversea, with a worldwide product offering. The Revenue Management (RM) Department plays a key role in our efforts to stay on top of this industry.
The Revenue Management Analyst is responsible for both strategic and tactical initiatives related to revenue maximization. As a member of the Revenue Management Department, you will have the opportunity to set strategic direction, determine pricing, create promotions, and explore new distribution opportunities. You will have exposure to senior management and work closely with Sales, Marketing and other Revenue Departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In Revenue Management, Analysts develop and execute product action plans to increase our market share, yield, and product profitability. Assignments within Revenue Management will typically involve quantitative and qualitative analysis of a competitive situation, development of recommendations, and written and/or oral presentation of those recommendations to Senior Management. Assignments will vary and may include one or more of the following:
- Create strategic pricing for cruise.
- Determine pricing, availability and business mix targets based on market demand.
- Monitor performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Develop annual revenue plan and forecast.
- Identify and analyze opportunities to enhance and improve revenue management systems and decision-making tools.
- Lead major cross functional initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate strategies with Sales, Marketing, Sea, and Reservations organizations to improve future revenue performance.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- BBA or Bachelors Degree in quantitative discipline required.
- MBA or Masters Degree in a quantitative discipline preferred.
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and problem identification.
- Ability to structure logically quantitative analyses of complex issues.
- Competency in computer systems and applications is essential, with an emphasis on the ability to access and manipulate data.
- Ability to operate within a team environment.
- Willingness to accept immediate product and project responsibility.
- Ability to effectively use oral and written communication.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity.
