The Royal Caribbean Group’s Legal Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Paralegal reporting to the VP, Assistant General Counsel.

 

The position is onsite and based in Miami, FL.

 

The position is also not eligible for work authorization sponsorship.

 

Position Summary:

This position provides integral paralegal and administrative support to the employment legal team with respect to a variety of employment law matters, including litigation, administrative charges, demand letters, advisory services, and strategic initiatives. A successful candidate will be curious, self-driven, and detail-oriented; have strong organization and communication skills; have discretion with respect to confidential or sensitive matters; be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced team-oriented environment; and have an enterprise mindset.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide paralegal and administrative support to the Employment Legal team.
  • Establish, organize, and maintain Employment Legal files and trackers (e.g., case files, litigation trackers, and project trackers) and calendar deadlines.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize documents and information (including ESI) related to employment claims, investigations, and corporate initiatives.
  • Draft and assist in the preparation and coordination of responses to legal pleadings, administrative charges, demand letters, subpoenas, writs of garnishment, discovery requests, and other legal correspondence and pleadings.
  • Prepare and manage litigation holds, templates, and meeting materials.
  • Coordinate and attend regular meetings with team members and cross-functional partners.
  • Assist with tracking local laws and legal updates across various jurisdictions.
  • Other tasks as needed to support the team and legal department.

 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Associate's degree
  • Two (2) years of paralegal or administrative experience in a corporate in-house legal department or law firm. Experience supporting an in-house employment legal team preferred but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with various teams operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • General understanding of labor, employment, and/or maritime laws impacting operations, including Title VII, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, and MLC regulations (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Outlook, Forms).
