Manager, Treasury Analytics

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Capital Markets, this Manager will be responsible for all analytical and reporting requests associated with the Treasury department that include, but are not limited to, forecasting interest expense, maintaining the short-term liquidity model, providing reports with back-up for accounting requests and circle ups, maintaining our treasury systems to ensure accuracy, and any other ad-hoc data requests from the Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, and Treasury Directors.  This role will be one of the primary liaisons between Treasury and other internal departments and will be responsible to ensure that exceptional Treasury support and service is provided.  Duties also include understanding the day-to-day payment processes and any processes improvement or system upgrade initiatives along with other team members.  This Manager will also be the point person to ensure accuracy for all Treasury related figures presented in public filings, financing documents such as offering memorandums, public disclosures, and board presentations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the interest expense and interest income forecast to capture the cost of the debt portfolio; results will be used not just for internal reporting but also as an input to public guidance
  • Serve as the point person for all Treasury data requests from other departments; typical requests include weighted average cost of capital, interest sensitivity reports, and verification of balances
  • Administer the long-term liquidity model – a key input for the long-range plan of the Company
  • Seek constant improvement in Treasury processes and systems to improve data accuracy and/or turnaround time
  • Review of all SEC filings and other public disclosures to ensure accuracy of numbers and statements made in the documents related to treasury activities
  • Ensure process controls are aligned with SOX requirements where applicable
  • Work with the Accounting team to ensure proper accounting treatment of financing transactions
  • Special projects as needed

  • Accurately represent interest expense of our capital structure and support recommendations to reduce interest cost ($1.2B expense)
  • Assist in implementing cost savings initiatives as it relates to Treasury systems or processes
  • Instill confidence in the numbers presented to minimize re-work and more importantly to bolster the impact of the message being communicated

 

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related discipline required
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of treasury/accounting/finance roles with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Expert in financial analysis, modeling, forecasting
  • Familiarity with reading, interpreting, and understanding financial documents
  • Understanding of how treasury interfaces with other departments at RCCL especially, accounting, internal audit, and FP&A
  • Expert analytical and modeling skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Exhibits a very strong attention to detail
  • Proven track records of being a change agent in improving and institutionalizing processes
  • Demonstrated leadership, influencing, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong systems knowledge including excel spreadsheets, power point presentations, treasury workstations, Bloomberg
