Position Overview
The Manager, Shore Excursions Ops is responsible for the delivery & execution of Celebrity Cruises’ product strategy and guest experience focused on revenue-generation specific to Destination Experiences. The Manager will be accountable and responsible for the successful delivery and operational execution of over 2,000 global destination experiences; as well as a dedicated product owner of pre and post cruise experiences inclusive of shuttles, onboard promotions, transfers, dispatch, Groups/Charters, incident sitreps (situational reports), plus staff scheduling staffing and development, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Manager, Shore Excursions Ops is responsible for taking a concept and making it a reality; while maintaining high levels of quality in execution and attention to detail. This position oversees individual experiences, a collection of experiences and/or partnerships with local Tour Operators.
This Manager will constantly monitor guest feedback, revenue, penetration, spend, risks, incidents, targets vs. actuals, compliance as well as how effective experiences are communicating, marketed and sold pre and onboard the fleet. They will also manage shipboard relations and collaborate on projects with shipboard colleagues.
This position will require time outside of the regular 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM due to shipboard incidents/emergencies. It is all-encompassing and responsible for flawless delivery of the destination experiences ashore and where applicable onboard with the goal to meet and exceed the brand’s revenue and guest satisfaction goals.
This Manager is part of a high-performing team that is responsible for one of the top producing revenue generating business for the brand. Reporting to a Senior Director of Destination Experiences (within Onboard Revenue in Hotel Operations, the Manager will lead a small team of direct reports, but more importantly is accountable for owning and leading projects that are inclusive of direct reports and key stakeholders within the company.
The ability of this Manager to influence, drive decision and deliver results through effective communication skills, process expertise and project management will have a considerable impact on the success of the brand’s long-term destination experience revenue-generating business.

Qualifications and Education
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent. Master’s degree or higher would-be a plus.
5+ years or more in a position or project that took ideas and concepts and delivered them as a final product to a customer or stakeholder. Longer tenure with this type of experience would be a plus.
5+ years or more of experience in cruise or travel industry, tour operator related business, or experience in destination product development or operations. Longer tenure with this type of experience would be a plus.
Previous shipboard experience or experience working closely with shipboard leadership is helpful
Proven track record of success in fast-paced environment with demanding timelines.
Ideal candidate also has experience with hotel and air industries.
Strong geographical knowledge and extensive travel experience a plus.
Experience in working within high-performing operational team.
Experience in a project management.
Ability to travel up to 45-50% of the time.
Financial / Quantitive Responsibilities
Manage, implement, and execute on the strategy and strategic initiatives related to specific regions, itineraries or customer profiles that will be responsible for revenue generating results between $30M to $50M.
Responsible for successful contract negotiations with over 200 companies with effective cost terms.
Responsible over the profit margins for this business and to stay aligned with the profitability goals of the brand.
Develop and drive pre and post cruise business with a potential value of $50M for the brand.
This position may support and be involved with other areas of onboard revenue which are $600M and growing for the brand.
