The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Manager, Revenue Planning reporting to the AVP, Revenue Planning and Analysis.
Position is onsite and based in Miami, FL
The Manager, Revenue Planning role offers an exceptional opportunity to lead analytical excellence, influence financial strategies, and shape the future trajectory of a leading industry player. This person is responsible for overseeing all the analytical functions of the Revenue Planning team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Revenue Forecasting: Prepares a detailed analysis and independent review of opportunities and risk of the Monthly Corporate Net Revenue Forecast/Plan including Net Ticket Revenue, Shipboard Revenue, and Other Revenue (over $12B in revenue annually) which directly influences external financial guidance and reporting. Presents independent review to brand revenue management leaders.
- Deep-Dive Business Analysis: Regularly prepare detailed business analyses on varied topics including business conditions, demand trends and pricing trends. Provide clear and data-supported recommendations for future opportunities and changes in strategy based on analyses. Provides frequent (weekly) updates to CFO on any risk/opportunity to the Forecast/Plan inclusive of Net Ticket Revenue, Shipboard Revenue, and Other Revenue including any new trend analysis, and changes in behavior.
- Earnings Call Strategy: Responsible for the preparation of the quarterly Earnings call documents, schedules, and key messaging. This includes accountability for the detail, accuracy, and storytelling of the information provided to the executive committee. The manager is responsible for gathering and condensing all requirements from various internal partners and is responsible for presenting a portion of these findings/key messages to the CEO, CFO, and Brand Presidents in preparation for each call.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with Onboard Revenue, Sales, Corporate Planning, Revenue Management, Brand Finance teams, and Corporate Strategy in order to ensure financial data is effectively communicated and understood.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as subject matter expert for all net ticket revenue forecast topics. Partners with the Development and Systems team to develop and improve revenue tools with the goal of facilitating better decision making, reporting, and forecasting.
- Team Leadership: Provide ongoing support, coaching, and guidance to the team of senior analyst and analysts in all aspects of revenue management and financial analysis. Lead and manage major cross functional initiatives. Responsible for onboarding materials and trainings for new hires on the team which includes technical training on EPM, Hyperion, and all relevant systems used on the team.
- Process Improvement & Innovation: Continuously search for potential business improvements, revenue opportunities and efficiency gains - develop, implement, and lead projects that capture such opportunities Lead a team of analysts.
- Knowledge & Competitive Intelligence: Maintains current knowledge of all RCG brands financial and business models, including ticket, other, and onboard revenue inclusions, deposit and penalty schedules, deployment and itinerary plans, sales and marketing activities. Evaluate and provide recommendations on strategy based on these changes.
- Influences the future: Reviews and provides independent analysis on CAR requests from capital planning, driving decision making on investments.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) or master’s degree (M. A.) preferred bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year University required.
- Six or more years work experience in an analytical field (preferably financial analysis or revenue management).
- Demonstrated understanding of revenue management and complex economic concepts.
- Demonstrated experience in project management.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data.
- Superior skills and ability to develop and deliver high quality, clear and concise presentations required.
- Superior skills in Excel.
- Ability to logically structure complex quantitative analyses.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to business and technical audiences in both spoken and written formats.
- Attention to detail required.
- Willingness to accept immediate product and project responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity.
- Ability to teach and coach a team of analysts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities independently on an ongoing basis.
