This position will be working onsite from Miami. 

 

Position Summary: 

The Onboard Branding & Communications Manager is responsible for leading the global strategy and execution of all guest facing onboard communications working directly with operations and the shipboard teams.

 

The Manager will be responsible for the implementation and execution of all strategic and tactical brand initiatives designed to keep our guests informed, satisfied, and engaged during their vacation. This person will manage brand standardization and compliance of all onboard communications on all new ships, amplifications, dry docks, and ships in service. To achieve this, this individual must champion strategies, execution and implementation of all guests facing onboard communications to engage our guests and generate excitement. 

 

This individual must possess an acute understanding of how to leverage all onboard communications touchpoints such as Cruise Compass, Royal Caribbean mobile app, digital signage, TV, point of sale promotions, Officer’s interactions, while balancing the guests’ vacation experience with the onboard operational needs. This role works collaboratively with other teams including Operations, Newbuild, Design, Product Development, and Marketing. This role manages and develops the Onboard Branding & Communications Sr Account Executive by providing support in sustaining trusting relationships with operations to ensure key milestones and company goals are achieved.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the charge to ensure all guest facing communications align with our brand’s identity and messaging is consistently executed across the fleet
  • Guide the development of onboard communications that will improve the overall guest experience onboard.
  • Provide guidance and direction for the creative execution of new activities and experiences that align to our brand and continue to set us apart
  • Leads partnership efforts with operations, shipboard, and brand teams to ensure all entities are informed and aligned with the branding and communications strategies, brand guidelines and overall and corporate strategic goals.
  • Manage the creation of all physical, digital, and multi-media content; ranging from bathroom amenities to physical signage, to TV content, to Cruise Compass
  • Partners with various marketing channels to ensure all communications follow brand standards from creation to ongoing support of a product or service onboard.
  • Generate, increase, and engage consumer awareness of existing or new onboard offerings or experiences delivered through internal or external partners.
  • Drive awareness and results for new products to increase onboard revenue across all channels by closely overseeing and managing the execution process.
  • Develops marketing and communication plans that support guest satisfaction ratings and NPS targets.
  • Monitor the creative development process and production by Launch as well as any external vendors hired to develop onboard communication content.
  • Manage and evolve the Sr Account Executive, Onboard Branding & Communications role by defining required skills, roles and responsibilities needed to execute new strategies through all integrated onboard communication channels.
  • Develop the tactical thinking and execution skills of team members.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field required.
  • 8+ years’ experience in marketing, advertising, or creative team.
  • Past management experience.
  • Proven success with launching and leading teams in the launching of new products and services from ideation to delivery across multiple channels.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, highly organized, deadline driven and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrates ability in proactively improve processes and procedures.
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team oriented and demonstrates strong cross functional leadership expertise in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate well with others and build strong, sustainable relationships with stakeholders of all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to develop strategic frameworks, plan, execute and manage projects from start to finish.
  • Active participation in cross functional teams to identify and implement product development and partnership strategies.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to interact with all departments and levels of management throughout the organization, as well as external partners.
  • Remains current on industry trends, business opportunities and competitive intelligence within the vacation industry.
  • Manages team projects on-time and within budget.
  • Occasional travel required.
