This position will be working onsite from Miami.
Position Summary:
The National Account Manager (NAM) is responsible for relationship development, revenue generation, and strategic initiatives for an assigned portfolio of national travel organizations.
Proactively develops strategies, marketing programs, and data analysis to ensure each account meets and /or exceeds corporate growth targets.
Independently maintains relationships with key customers, primarily Vice Presidents, Directors and Managers of each national travel organization as well as internal customers in Revenue, Marketing, Sales, Trade Support & Service, and Operations. Oversees and/or performs the following essential tasks through subordinates or matrixed resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for revenue generation for assigned national travel organizations (accounts) for the purpose of meeting/exceeding corporate growth goals. Specific emphasis should be on building incremental revenue.
- Development and implementation of strategic plans for each assigned account, including long-term and tactical initiatives that support corporate objectives.
- Manages, in conjunction with the Account Executive, and the Account, the development and execution of a yearly Marketing plan that guides all essential activities throughout the calendar year.
- Leads the yearly contract negotiation process for each national travel organization in assigned portfolio, with emphasis on defining growth targets, remuneration for goal attainment and ensuring all components are in line with corporate objectives and targets
- Responsible for the ongoing financial reporting of account targets, and any applicable data analysis that will help drive incremental revenue growth.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with all levels of key personnel for accounts in assigned portfolio.
- Develop programs, in conjunction with consortia partners, for execution at the field sales level to aide in account penetration and growth attainment. Utilize feedback from consortia and field sales to enhance future programs.
- Develop and execute, in conjunction with Account Executives and Sales Training Personnel, training programs that broaden the knowledge and skills of national travel organizations front-line agents and key personnel.
- Responsible for travel 30-50% of the time to attend conference, trade shows and to conduct sales calls. Seasonally could be more travel than stated.

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3-5 years’ experience in Sales and/or Marketing.
- Location: Position will be based out of the Miami office and requires 30-50% travel to the assigned portfolio accounts.
- Strong leadership skills and proven experience in leading and developing accounts.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills a must. Clear and precise communication at all levels of the organization essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strength in communicating in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail oriented with excellent analytical and financial skills
- Ability to define opportunities, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to help the business move forward.
- Software: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WebEx essential.
- Internal Candidates: Familiarity with AS/400, BRIO system, and Lotus Notes essential.
- Language Requirements:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common financial reports and legal documents
- Ability to clearly and effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or accounts.
- Financial Responsibilities (For Management Roles Only)
- Oversees creation and management of trade compensation (VVI, G2), and Cooperative Marketing budgets and plans for assigned portfolio of accounts.
- Liaises with Royal Business Analysis team to ensure accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts, reporting and payments.
