The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Entertainment Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Manager, Headliners & Enrichment reporting to the Director, Entertainment Experience.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Director, Entertainment Experience for Celebrity Cruises, this position is responsible for the strategy and management of the shipboard Headliner Entertainment and Enrichment programs to ensure an elevated guest entertainment experience is delivered throughout the fleet. The Manager, Headliners & Enrichment identifies and books the headliner entertainers and enrichment speakers for the Celebrity Cruises fleet. This position forecasts and manages budgets and negotiates terms and contracts with talent agencies and management.
This position reviews and evaluates shipboard performance utilizing analytics and trends to determine casting/booking strategies and opportunities to continuously deliver on departmental goals and companywide initiatives.
In addition, this position will support the implementation of new and current policies, programming, SOPs, project roll outs and other operational and strategic needs to support a consistent fleetwide Entertainment Experience that speaks to our brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategy and provide supervision and management of Headliner Entertainment and Enrichment programming for the fleet, including lineup on all voyages as well as special event needs.
- Liaise with Cruise Directors, Hotel Directors and other department heads onboard and shoreside to achieve an elevated experience as it relates to our Headliner and Enrichment program, while supporting all efforts to achieve targets in ratings and onboard revenue.
- Source, manage and liaise with talent agencies and managers to identify new, innovative Headliner Entertainment experiences for our guests.
- Travel to industry showcases and select performances, as needed, to vet new acts and shows.
- Oversee Entertainment Management System (EMS) database, talent library and other such programs and scheduling tools, ensuring all relevant information is up to date.
- Develop and maintain consistent Entertainment Department programming and projects as related to Headliners and Enrichment, for potential fleetwide rollout.
- Forecast, manage and plan annual Headliner & Enrichment budget.
- Review and authorize weekly Headliner & Enrichment payroll.
- Oversee travel coordination for Headliners & Enrichment.
- Manage cabin request process relating to Headliners & Enrichment.
- Implements process and evaluation process for team te develop talent vetting skills.
- Manages direct bookings of talent when deemed appropriate for the business operation.
- Develop and document policies and procedures for efficient management of the Headliner and Enrichment program.
- Works with port and tour agents to secure local talent for port day cultural offerings (i.e., musicians, folkloric shows, speakers, artisans)
- Collaborates with the Experience team to create, develop and improve consistent programming, project deliveries and initiatives to support the overall Entertainment Experience including Youth and Activities.
- Collaborates with Theatrical Production team to ensure projected headliner lineups complement overall entertainment lineup on each specific ship.
- Supports in the management of routine shipboard entertainment operations, execution and performance delivery of the overall entertainment programming and product.
- Collaborates with Marketing and PR to create correct messaging and stories enabling a greater global reach and positive message.
- Collaborates with Legal and Finance teams to develop most cost-effective and favorable contracts for potential partnerships and vendors, ensuring any licensing requirements are met.

Additionally, the Manager, Headliners & Enrichment is a key partner across Hotel Operations to collaborate with principals on creative projects impacting multiple areas of the Hotel Operation including Food and Beverage, Onboard Revenue and MICE for activation of entertainment
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Entertainment, Arts Administration, or a minimum of five (5) years’ comparable work experience in the entertainment or cruise industry with strong experience in sourcing and managing main stage show and speaker/enrichment talent
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a management position in the cruise industry, or its equivalent preferred.
- High level of familiarity with entertainment trends, talent agencies and booking strategies.
- Must have finger on the pulse of contemporary, current national and international entertainment industry.
- Ability to identify and recommend production elements that will enhance the Headliner & Enrichment product.
- Excellent business communication skills both verbally and in writing; ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, analytics reports and legal documents Ability to write, and create comprehensive reports, presentations, RFPs, business correspondence and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executive management, groups of managers, employees, staff and customers; Proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to build and maintain successful business relationships throughout the department, the company and as a whole and with external vendors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
- Previous hotel, resort, casino, theme park experience is a plus, or comparable work experience servicing the cruise industry.
- May be required to travel internationally approximately 30% of work-related time. This individual will work approximately 70% of the work time at Celebrity Cruises’ Miami offices and select days at our North Miami studios.
