The Manager, Global Sales Finance and Business Analytics serves as the strategic finance and analytics partner to Global Sales leadership and Silversea Finance. This role owns the operating rhythm for Global Sales planning, forecasting, performance management, and executive storytelling. The manager supports leaders in identifying opportunities to gain synergy across the organization, synthesizes market and channel performance into actionable insights, leads cross-functional initiatives that improve sales productivity and return on investment, and prepares the story to share with the EC. This position is ideal for a proactive, commercially minded finance partner who understands accounting principles, excels in analytics, and influences outcomes through structured governance and stakeholder leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Finance Partnership and Performance Governance
- Serve as the primary finance and analytics partner to Global Sales leadership with a global view across markets and channels, deeply understanding performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Establish and own the performance management cadence for Global Sales, including goals, KPIs, scorecards, and leadership readouts that drive accountability and action.
- Lead annual planning and in-year forecasting for Global Sales cost centers, including multi-currency planning and alignment of assumptions across stakeholders.
- Own driver-based models linking commercial inputs to financial outcomes and recommend investment reallocations to optimize ROI.
- Provide executive-ready narratives and materials that connect performance to strategy, investment decisions, and operational priorities.
Commercial Analytics and Business Intelligence Leadership
- Expand Global Sales understanding of business trends and opportunities as a Power BI power user, leveraging existing datasets to create dashboards, analyses, and decision tools.
- Define business requirements and partner with IT Data and Analytics to improve data availability, quality, and metric standardization across markets and channels.
- Synthesize commercial performance and cost-to-acquire/retain insights into a single, consistent view for leadership decision making.
- Translate data into clear, concise insights and recommended actions, tailoring communication to senior stakeholders and business outcomes.
Cross-Functional Initiative Leadership
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve sales productivity and effectiveness, including channel optimization and other high-impact projects.
- Drive decision making and execution through alignment, escalation of risks, timeline management, and closure on action items across Sales, Finance, IT, and Operations.
- Define stakeholder expectations, operating cadences, deliverables, and success metrics, holding partners accountable through influence and structure.
Financial Operations, Controls, and Process Excellence
- Own monthly close deliverables for Global Sales in partnership with Finance Operations, including accruals and intercompany activity in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct variance analysis on operating expenses and key commercial KPIs, surfacing trends, risks, and opportunities with recommended mitigation actions.
- Oversee procurement and expense workflows through global shared services to ensure timely processing, accurate coding, and proper approvals.
- Improve reporting processes, system efficiency, and data integrity across Oracle, Navision, Power BI, and Smartsheet.
- Apply accounting principles and internal policies to daily work. Familiarity with ASC 740 is a plus.
Enablement and Standardization
- Train and enable stakeholders on financial processes, reporting standards, KPI definitions, and BI usage to improve financial discipline and analytical maturity.
- Establish recurring reporting standards and respond to ad hoc leadership requests with speed, accuracy, and high quality insights.
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 8 or more years of progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or business analytics supporting Sales or Marketing
- Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling, pivots, and dashboards; strong PowerPoint storytelling skills
- Power BI power user with experience building robust dashboards using existing datasets and translating business questions into requirements for data partners
- Experience with planning and reporting systems such as Oracle and Navision, including multi-currency and intercompany transactions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Self-starter who can gather information, build relationships, and own end-to-end outcomes in a matrix environment
- Experience supporting global or multi-regional organizations strongly preferred
