This position will work on-site at our offices in Miami, FL.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the brand's creative look and feel including providing art direction to other company communication teams (Sales, Ops). Key responsibilities include: maintaining brand guidelines, training internal and external areas on the brand guidelines, participating in the strategic creative development and developing new creative formats as well as producing communications for media such as emails, direct mails, banners, outdoor, magazines, video, etc. This role has managerial responsibilities for 2 direct reports and one indirect report (online art director).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, layout and coordination of marketing collateral materials, such as: graphic assets (logos and product photos), promotional flyers, printed and electronic advertisements, direct mail pieces, banners, tradeshow graphics, catalogs, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
- Drive brand consistency through ongoing development and maintenance of brand guidelines. Provide design direction/support to other communication teams (sales, ops, online). Review final material and suggest improvements as needed.
- Train internal and external departments on the brand guidelines.
- Develop new Creative concepts for Consumer and Trade media ¿ supporting all aspects of the business (brand, destination, cruise tours, celebrity life, captains club, and special projects, etc¿)
- Partner with any external agencies to drive asset development and final approval.
- Timely review of all Creative work at weekly approval meetings.
- Coordinate timely production process of all ads with Account Executives.
- Provide creative direction for photo/video shoots.
- Manage copywriter, second designer; dotted line management of online art director.

Financial Responsibilities
Partner with Manager, Brand Communications to stick within specified budgets for projects.
The main components are outsourced agencies which is approx 500k, as well as production which is about 200k so total of 700k.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or 6-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Candidate must have proven experience in a Graphic Designer/Art Director role in a fast-paced, multi-project corporate environment.
- Experience in the pre-press process and a working knowledge of lithography.
Knowledge and Skills:
Accuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment are essential.
Software: Proven experience in Mac and Windows applications including InDesign, Quark Xpress, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop is required. Knowledge with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Final Cut Pro is a plus. Portfolio of work samples required.
Physical Demands:
