Royal Caribbean Group’s Revenue Management Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Manager, Commercial Strategy reporting to the AVP, Revenue Strategy CCI.

 

This position will be working onsite from Miami.

 

Position Summary:

The Manager, Commercial Strategy is responsible for the development of Strategy and Analytics impacting multiple areas across the commercial teams for the Celebrity Cruises brand. This individual will be responsible for leading a high-performing cross-functional team with close working relationships with Sales, Marketing, International, Finance, and Product Development. The Manager’s responsibilities will include KPI tracking, analysis, and business intelligence on relevant commercial activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine and communicate the international and channel level sourcing forecasts
  • Responsible for making adjustments to demand models influencing the Revenue Management team’s pricing decisions and the Marketing and Sales teams’ resource planning
  • Deliver relevant and actionable commercial-related information for Revenue Management and other departments by supporting ad-hoc requests and needs, in the most effective format
  • Build cross functional relationships to manage teams/individuals across the company to efficiently facilitate the design, research, development, and delivery of data statistics, models, and other deliverables
  • Lead a collaborative and dynamic planning process - prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team.
  • Provide analytical and modeling guidance for various company initiatives. 
  • Work with leadership to understand business value of features or projects being delivered
  • Lead, manage coach, mentor and develop a team of data analysts of variable skill and practice levels

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university in business or economics or similar quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of post-graduate experiences.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen.
  • Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Strong Operation Research modeling skills (optimization and linear programming, etc.).
  • Proficient with SQL and knowledge of BI related principles such as ETL, data modeling, & data warehousing.
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences with a desire to work in a collaborative, intellectually curious environment with the ability to interact across various teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with deadlines and manage changing priorities with minimal supervision and intervention. One to Three years of related experience in financial / business analysis or related field preferred. Familiarization with revenue management concepts and tools preferred.
  • Previous experience with Revenue Management.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Brio Intelligence/Hyperion Studio, PowerBI, Word, and PowerPoint required and ability to manipulate data essential.
  • Knowledge of reservations system and revenue management data preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Willingness to accept immediate product and project responsibility.
  • Ability to operate in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity. Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and problem identification.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and interpret revenue performance data.
  • Ability to logically structure quantitative analyses of complex issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in global environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once.
