Royal Caribbean Group’s Global Marine Operations Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Manager, Change Management reporting to the AVP, Global Marine Operations Strategy.
This position will work onsite in Miami, Florida.
Position Summary:
Join our Operations Excellence Team in Miami, Florida as an Operations Excellence Change Manager, where you will lead transformative initiatives to optimize operational performance throughout our maritime organization. This position is pivotal in advancing strategic objectives by implementing targeted process improvements and effective change management within the maritime sector. You will cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring operations are efficient, flexible, and fully aligned with organizational standards and aspirations. The team's projects align with core organizational priorities in areas such as project enhancement, operational excellence, automation, migration, and restructuring. Your expertise will directly contribute to the safety, reliability, and overall excellence of our marine operations teams, supporting the delivery of distinguished cruise experiences globally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the change initiatives for small (process improvement strategies) to large scale projects (system upgrades) that optimize operational processes.
- Design and execute comprehensive communication, training and engagement plans that effectively convey change impacts and benefits and drive adoption and measurable results.
- Identify key stakeholders across initiatives and manage stakeholders to ensure change initiatives are implemented in accordance with program / project plans.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across the Global Marine Operations team to ensure seamless adoption of new processes and systems.
- Develop and manage the adoption of a consistent organizational change management framework, enabling stakeholders to buy in and remain committed to the change as they transition to the new state.
- Drive changes in behavior through leader led embedment of change by focusing on education and communication throughout each initiative.
- Integrate change management education and activities into the overall project plan to support successful implementation.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build change readiness and capability among stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on the progress and effectiveness of change initiatives.
- Create awareness of change by assisting in creating and implementing comprehensive communication plans for all levels of the business.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for operational excellence.
- Effectively organize and prioritize multiple projects while working towards defined deadlines in support of initiatives across diverse work streams and activities.
- Coordinate with maritime leadership to integrate change management practices into daily operations.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of transformation and change management experience including experience in building a similar type of global organization from the ground up and / or deep industry expertise running diverse global projects successfully and / or system roll outs.
- Have experience with various organizational change methodologies and application with a recommended and proven set successful tools and templates.
- Demonstrated success in leading operational change initiatives in complex, dynamic environments.
- Skilled facilitator with experience leading workshops and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant certifications such as Prosci Change Management, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives and deadlines.
- Experience in marine, maritime or other operational/ technical industries a plus.
- Expertise in change management methodologies and process improvement tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and guide diverse teams through change.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities tailored to various audiences.
- Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret operational data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving maritime environment.
- Proficient in project management and collaboration software.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural setting.
- Strategic thinking with a focus on aligning operational improvements with organizational goals.
