The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Director, Global CRM Strategy and Customer Marketing on the Marketing Team, reporting to the Vice President, Global Media and Customer Marketing.

 

Position Summary:

The Manager, Brand Analytics will be a key driver of data-driven decision-making within the Silversea brand. The role will work in partnership with Silversea team leads globally to establish standardized reports (both operational and executive level) and Conduct advanced analyses to inform business decisions.

 

The goal is to establish a center of excellence in reporting and business analysis, supporting multiple teams across the brand. The Manager, Brand Analytics also requires the ability to work within a data environment that is in a state of transition from legacy systems, necessitating a robust understanding of both legacy and future data platforms, as well as the ability to identify near-term and long-term solutions for the data inputs to reports and analyses.

 

This role requires a data-driven approach to commercial and operational business analytics and the ability to generate buy-in for the adoption of new reporting standards across the brand. The Manager, Brand Analytics will work alongside the Senior Director to support the brand’s decision-making process with their business acumen and deep analytical skills. The ability to drive beyond surface-level insights and communicate findings to executive-level audiences is a critical requirement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collects and organizes key commercial and operational data for performance assessment and business decision-making.
  • Coordinates with Group data teams to identify the most efficient sources of data and identifies both near-term and long-term data solutions for automated reporting across the brand, minimizing the need for rework after the Brand’s data platform migration.
  • Owns the designing and building of automated or semi-automated reports in Power BI for teams including Sales, Marketing, Marine Ops, Hotel Ops, and Shared Services.
  • Partners with team leaders within the brand to adjust reports for appropriate audiences (e.g., executive vs. operations).
  • Continuously improves reporting based on feedback from brand leaders and functional teams.
  • Influences team leads in the adoption of new reporting standards.
  • Influences brand leaders by presenting clear and compelling insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Owns the prioritization of reporting actions and actively manages expectations with the Senior Director and relevant stakeholders.
  • Develops and owns business cases to support strategic commercial and operations decisions.
  • Where needed, provides support to teams across the brand by leading or contributing to ad-hoc analyses, which may include topics such as:
  • Promo effectiveness (in coordination with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management)
  • Media ROI (in coordination with Marketing, Sales, and eCommerce)
  • Loyalty program performance (in coordination with Marketing)
  • Commercial analyses (in coordination with Revenue Management, Marketing, Sales)
  • Expedition activity performance (in coordination with the Expedition team, Sales, Marketing)

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Professional Qualifications in a commercial/business field, Advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a Travel operations and/or commercial analytics role
  • Strong business and analytical acumen
  • Self-starter, able to work with little supervision
  • Flexible approach to responsibilities and remit
  • Ability to influence at all levels 
  • Occasional travel may be required

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency with SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong project management skills

  • Proven ability to lead teams and significant cross-functional and cross-departmental initiatives
  • Knowledge of the company and the broader cruise/leisure industry
  • Knowledge of the sales process, marketing channels, pricing, and strategies
  • Understanding of research information and performance metrics in relation to consumer trends, behavior, and preferences, as well as trade needs and expectations for use in determining strategy
  • Knowledge of revenue performance management and metrics and corporate revenue expectations
  • Knowledge of Royal Caribbean Group’s products, services, and capabilities relative to competitors
  • Ability to assemble and lead cross-functional teams to develop and achieve revenue maximization strategies that include input and buy-in from all stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze corporate data, research, and analysis to make recommendations for product strategy and success
  • Ability to interact with all departments and levels of management throughout the organization and with external customers and companies
