The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Reporting that will report to the AVP, Revenue Planning and Analysis.
Position is onsite and based in Miami, FL
The Lead, Reporting, is responsible for overseeing and managing all reporting functions within the Revenue Planning team. This role is responsible for.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Standardized reporting of business trends, including reporting of Ticket, Shipboard, and Other revenue. This includes Actuals and Forecast reporting.
- Prepares weekly Revenue Update deck to be presented to CFO
- Oversee daily checks to ensure accuracy in reporting of our daily Revenue Reports. This is a critical report that guides daily business decisions from our brand revenue management teams
- Prepares an independent analysis and overview following the Earnings Call of each of RCG major competitors. This includes an overview of actuals and guidance, business trends, and how these compare our internal metrics. This analysis is to be completed the same day of each call and prepared for CFO review.
- Helps in preparation of the quarterly Earnings call documents, schedules, and key messaging. This includes accountability for the detail, accuracy, and storytelling of the information provided to the executive committee.
- Prepares the review materials for the quarterly financial review meeting between brand presidents and CEO/CFO
- Innovator in reporting; finds ways to deliver enhanced repeatable insights that can help make more informed business decisions at a quicker pace
- Regularly prepare detailed ad-hoc analyses on varied topics including business conditions, demand trends and pricing trends. Provide clear and data-supported recommendations for future opportunities and changes in strategy based on analyses.
- Stakeholder Management: work alongside Onboard Revenue, Sales, Corporate Planning, International, Brand Finance and other areas to ensure financial data is effectively reported and understood.
- Provide ongoing support, coaching, and guidance to the team in all aspects of revenue reporting. Lead and manage major cross functional initiatives.
- Maintains expertise in use of ERP system as a reporting tool and acts as a thought leader in the future of reporting with new reservation system.
- Continuously searching for potential business improvements, revenue opportunities and efficiency gains in reporting.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) or master’s degree (M. A.) preferred bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year University required
- Four or more years work experience in an analytical field (preferably financial analysis or revenue management)
- Demonstrated understanding of revenue management and economic concepts
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data.
- Superior skills and ability to develop and deliver high quality, clear and concise schedules required.
- Superior skills in EPM
- Ability to logically structure complex quantitative analyses.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to business and technical audiences in both spoken and written formats.
- Attention to detail required Willingness to accept immediate product and project responsibility.
- Excellent people skills and demonstrated maturity.
- Ability to teach and coach a team of analysts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities independently on an ongoing basis.
