This position will be working onsite from Miami.
Position Summary:
This role is responsible with supporting the Sr. Manager, Brand Strategy, in contributing to the development of strategic plans for the Silversea brand, ensuring current operations align with the brand’s current and long-term strategic goals, with a focus on fleet growth initiatives such as fleet modification and newbuild programs, and tracking the brand's long-range financial performance to drive insights and recommendations for leadership. The position will assist with business case development, identifying value-creation opportunities, and help improve brand profitability, including financial modeling and operational support for fleet modification business cases and serving as the brand's financial liaison to the newbuild commercial strategy team. Acting as an internal consultant and working lead without direct reports, this role supports cross-departmental projects and analysis, communicates key strategic updates to the management team, assists with prioritizing brand initiatives, helps lead the executive board presentation and reporting process with the Brand President, supports creation of all board materials, and provides analytical insights to drive business improvement opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads the development and financial modeling of fleet modification business cases, partnering with operations and finance to validate assumptions and returns.
- Serves as the primary financial liaison for fleet growth initiatives, coordinating modeling and operational support across cross-functional teams.
- Monitors and analyzes brand KPIs and initiatives aligned with the brand’s operating plan and five-year strategic plan.
- Leads newbuild financial modeling, including capital planning, revenue, and profitability projections for new vessel deliveries.
- Acts as the brand's connection point to the newbuild commercial strategy team, ensuring alignment between newbuild plans and brand strategic priorities.
- Leads the monthly brand performance reporting and review process, delivering actionable insights to brand leadership.
- Tracks brand long-range financial performance and analysis, and is responsible for driving insights and recommendations to brand leadership.
- Leads the executive board presentation and reporting process, partnering directly with the Brand President.
- Owns the creation and quality control of all board materials, ensuring consistency and accuracy across presentations.
- Builds and maintains financial models with different scenarios, developing alternative approaches to fleet modification, newbuild, cost, and revenue opportunities.
- Sizes investment and cost-savings opportunities across all brand areas and initiatives.
- Guides and reviews the analytical work of junior team members supporting fleet and newbuild initiatives, without formal direct-report responsibility.
- Partners with brand operating teams and senior leadership on special projects and key strategic initiatives tied to fleet growth.
- Continually assesses Silversea's fleet and newbuild strategy against market opportunities and threats, promoting actionable proposals.
- Leads financial modeling related to fleet modification and newbuild business opportunities.
- Leads development of strategic plan financials tied to fleet growth initiatives.
- Leads development of long-range capital plan, including newbuild capital requirements.
- Leads development and analysis of financial models supporting fleet growth and newbuild investment decisions.
- Supports financial objectives of Silversea through the identification of additional revenue and cost reduction, and serves as financial liaison between Brand Strategy and the Newbuild Commercial Strategy team, partnering with the Brand President's office on executive board reporting.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 6-7+ years of finance, business analysis and/or revenue management experience.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working effectively with senior management including executive level presentations.
- Experience working on highly analytical projects.
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience leading projects and mentoring junior analysts in a similar planning / analysis function, without formal supervisory responsibility.
- Critical thinker, who demonstrates drive and a desire to improve processes where appropriate.
- Able to build good working relationships with personnel at all levels located at the corporate offices and global offices.
- Experience of using database query tools (such as Power BI or Hyperion).
- Strong business writing skills.
