Royal Caribbean Group’s Royal Caribbean International brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Lead, Program Management on the Product Development Team reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Management.

 

 

 

This position will work onsite in Miami, Florida.

Position Summary:

 

 

In this position, you would play a critical role within the Royal Caribbean International Product Development PMO team that is responsible for leading strategic initiatives and driving project execution excellence across the Product Development portfolio. This position serves as a key partner to Product Development, Construction, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams, ensuring effective planning, governance, coordination, reporting, and delivery of complex projects and programs. 

 

You would provide leadership in project and portfolio management, resource coordination, executive reporting, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives. This position plays a critical role in advancing PMO best practices, improving visibility into project performance, and supporting strategic decision-making. 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and manage strategic projects and initiatives across the Product Development portfolio from planning through execution and completion. 
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, action plans, and performance metrics. 
  • Monitor project health, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to support successful delivery. 
  • Ensure projects are executed within approved timelines, budgets, and business objectives. 
  • Establish and promote consistent project management standards, methodologies, and best practices. 
  • Develop and maintain project dashboards, portfolio reports, and executive-level presentations. 
  • Generate regular status reports highlighting project progress, schedule performance, financial impacts, risks, and key decisions. 
  • Support resource planning and capacity management efforts across multiple projects and initiatives. 
  • Track project dependencies, priorities, and resource need to optimize project delivery. 
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development, Construction, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and other stakeholders to drive project success. 
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments and business functions. 
  • Facilitate project meetings, drive accountability, and ensure timely resolution of issues and action items. 
  • Lead special projects and strategic initiatives that support departmental and organizational objectives. 
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve project management processes, reporting capabilities, governance practices, and operational efficiencies. 
  • Drive adoption of PMO standards and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. 
  • Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices within the PMO and broader organization. 

 

 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 
  • 7+ years of experience in project management, program management, portfolio management, or related disciplines. 
  • Proven experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders. 
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical, financial and spreadsheet modeling skills.  
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management/reporting tools. 
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills are a must. Clear and precise communication at all levels of the organization is essential. 
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills. 
  • Energetic self-starter who can take initiative, figure things out and lead through influence rather than direct control 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

 

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification. 
  • Experience supporting hospitality, destination development, construction, product development, or capital project environments. 
  • Experience with portfolio management, resource planning, and executive reporting. 
  • Change Management experience in a global organization. 
  • Exposure to Data Visualization tools is a plus. 

 

Knowledge and Skills: 

 

  • Technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office 365, and Oracle. 
  • Experience with Smartsheet platform a plus. 
  • Experience with process methodologies for Project management, KPI development, Process Improvement, & Change Management. 
  • Experience of working both independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced, collaborative environment is essential. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical, financial and spreadsheet modeling skills.    
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial. 
  • Internal Candidates: Knowledge of CAR process: budget, approval, reconciliation, and reporting. 
  • Ability to clearly and effectively present information to top management.
