Lead, Product Performance & Promotions

This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.

 

Position Summary:

Product Performance is the intersection of pricing, promotions, and omnichannel support, ensuring products have the right strategic support for all open deployment, and when that plan underperforms, can quickly lead the cross-department team to adjust quickly with a plan that addresses the miss.

 

This role requires a result-focused leader with the ability to influence a cross departmental team including Marketing channel owners, Sales, Revenue Management and Business Intelligence to quickly develop a plan to address underperforming products through promotions and marketing efforts.  The role must interpret results in real-time and create dynamic plans that maximize what is working and quickly pivot from what is not.

 

The Product Performance and Promotions Lead works cross-functionally to develop strategic/base-loading initiatives that would help marketing, sales and global teams to drive incremental demand. The role will own the development and execution of annual promotional calendar, targeted offers, affiliate partnerships and tactics of global scale that will drive continuous improvement across our markets. The person will also lead the development and implementation of strategic retail moments throughout the year and will monitor the competitive landscape on a weekly basis.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination for integrated go-to-market plans to ensure all regional products meet track.
  • Partner with all internal business partners to design retail plans at various stages of the product life cycle, with emphasis on underperforming products missing track. 
  • Manage retail best practices among our global organization.
  • Supervise creative development and production by our internal creative team to ensure that project implementations happen as expected and on deadline.
  • Lead the development and implementation of annual promotional calendar, key retail moments and base loading initiatives to drive demand.
  • Responsible for leading cross-department team to meet product KPIs and track performance to ensure through marketing plans and tactical adjustments when needed and quickly adjust plans when needed to ensure effective product performance plans.
  • Create, collaborate and influence positive outcomes and immediate measurable impact.

 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing or related field;   Four to eight years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience leading and influencing teams, ensuring alignment and integration
  • Ability to manage a network of interdependent priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and motivated with a desire to outperform
  • Travel/cruise industry experience a plus
  • Experience working on analytical projects.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint and Word. 
  • Critical thinker, who demonstrates drive and a desire to improve retail performance.  
  • A results-oriented driver who can quickly implement initiatives that will improve product performance.
  • Pro-active ownership approach.
  • Strong business writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse group of co-workers and influence.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple high priority project.
  • Takes initiative and can adapt to change in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

 

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those requirements employees must meet to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.  While performing job functions the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, write, review and type reports, compile data, operate a pc, communicate, listen, and assess information. The employee may move about the office complex, may travel to other office locations and may lift, push, pull or move 10 to 15 pounds. Visual requirements include distant, close and color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Strong commercial retail skills including experience developing immediate tactical initiatives that quick impact on underperforming products. 
  • Ability to build strategic relationships across functions and levels - comfortable interacting with senior business leaders, presenting to all levels of the organization and gaining buy-in.
  • Excellent writing, visual and presentation/communications skills.
  • Proven success in marketing roles requiring self-direction and extensive interaction working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
  • Skilled at clearly articulating action plans and creative problem solving for product performance.

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the selection process.
  • Must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
