The Lead, Global Sales Business Analytics and Finance serves as the strategic partner to Global Sales leadership and Silversea Finance. This role owns the rhythm of financial planning and analysis for Global Sales, expands our Business Intelligence usage, and synthesizes market and channel performance into insights that drive action. The lead partners across Sales, Finance, IT, and Operations to translate data into decisions, orchestrate cross functional initiatives, and keep teams accountable to targets. This role is ideal for a go getter who understands accounting but is not an accountant, is a strong BI user, and who wants to learn the business, lead initiatives, and influence outcomes.

 

The position is onsite and based in Miami, Florida.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary analytics and finance partner with global perspective and interaction across Sales leadership, with a strong grasp of markets, channels, and performance drivers.
  • Lead cross functional initiatives that improve sales productivity and ROI, including channel optimization and other high impact projects.
  • Set a clear cadence for goals, metrics, and accountabilities. Align stakeholders, escalate risks early, drive decisions, and close loops on actions.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and overview of the annual operating budget for Global Sales cost centers, including multi currency planning.
  • Build and maintain driver based models that link commercial inputs to outcomes, and recommend where to reallocate spend for better ROI.
  • Produce leadership ready narratives and materials that connect performance to strategy
  • Expand the organization’s use of BI as a power user, not a developer. Leverage dashboards and create analysis using existing datasets in Power BI.
  • Synthesize data across all markets and channels to provide a single view of commercial performance and cost to acquire and retain customers.
  • Translate data into insights and actions. Tell the story in a way that is clear, concise, and aligned to business outcomes.
  • Own monthly close deliverables for Global Sales in partnership with Finance Operations. Manage accruals and intercompany activity in accordance with GAAP.
  • Standardize recurring reporting and respond to ad hoc leadership requests with speed and accuracy.
  • Conduct variance analysis on operating expenses and commercial KPIs. Surface trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Oversee procurement and expense workflows through global shared services to ensure timely processing, accurate coding, and proper approvals.
  • Improve reporting processes, data quality, and efficiency across systems including Oracle, Navision, Power BI, and Smartsheet.
  • Apply accounting principles and internal policies to daily work. Familiarity with ASC 740 is a plus.
  • Define stakeholder expectations, working cadences, and success metrics. Keep everyone aligned and accountable.
  • Train and enable teammates on financial processes, BI usage, and reporting standards. Foster continuous improvement.

  • Example stakeholders may include leaders such as commercial planning partners, regional heads, and counterparts in sister brands based on project scope.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Seven or more years of progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or business analytics supporting Sales or Marketing.
  • Strong Excel skills including modeling, pivots, and dashboards. Strong PowerPoint storytelling skills.
  • Power BI power user who can build robust dashboards using existing datasets and define business requirements for data partners.
  • Experience with planning and reporting systems such as Oracle and Navision, with working knowledge of multi currency and intercompany transactions.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. Ability to connect insights to actions and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Self starter who is comfortable gathering information, developing relationships to secure needed information/collaboration, and owning end to end outcomes.

 

FINANCIAL/QUANTITIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advanced Excel proficiency or Microsoft Excel certification.
  • Experience with Smartsheet for project tracking and portfolio management.
  • Familiarity with TAMs or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with ASC 740 concepts.
  • Experience supporting global or multi regional organizations.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

WORKING CONDITIONS

Miami based position with some travel. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. The environment includes office locations, and/or moving inside/outside the office. A high noise level is possible if visiting shipboard, shipyard, dry dock or offsite locations. Personal protective equipment will be provided as needed in these situations.
