Royal Caribbean Group’s HR Total Rewards Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Executive Compensation reporting to the Senior Director, Executive Compensation.

 

Position Summary:

This position of Lead, Executive Compensation supports the managing of the executive compensation program. This role supports the design, implementation, and administration of executive compensation programs for executives globally.  As a member of the Total Rewards team, this role will have an opportunity to meaningfully contribute to evolving and transforming HR strategy to continue to deliver successful long-term performance by the company.

The role oversees the equity compensation program, participates in executive compensation surveys, and recommends changes to ensure the organization retains competitive in the marketplace.  Recommends strategies to enhance program value, while keeping up with compensation trends and developments, and recommends new or improved executive compensation plans consistent with market best practice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports, implements, and administers executive compensation programs including equity compensation, and supplemental benefit programs including perquisites.   May counsel or refer executives on matters related to compensation and taxes.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance and streamline administration of executive compensation programs.
  • Ensures compliance with legal requirements of executive compensation; prepares required filings.
  • Evaluates jobs and participates in executive compensation surveys; recommends changes as needed to improve competitive position
  • Manages the administration and communication of long-term equity incentive plan
  • Supports the communication of strategic executive compensation programs and initiatives
  • Serves as liaison to third party equity incentive plan administrator and deferred compensation plan administrator.
  • Identifies and drives projects and initiatives to improve the efficiency and quality of executive compensation services provided to the organization.
  • Develops presentations and analysis for executive compensation reviews; prepares analyses and materials for Compensation Committee review.
  • Provides guidance on executive compensation matters to senior executives and human resources.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or the international equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Compensation or a similar analytical field.
  • Advanced knowledge of a variety of Microsoft software packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Equity compensation experience preferred but not required
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with a variety of HRIS systems for the administration of compensation programs, PeopleSoft preferred.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work under tight deadlines or changing client needs.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of a variety of Microsoft software packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in data analysis, compensation analysis preferred.
  • Participation in executive salary surveys preferred.
