Royal Caribbean Group’s Destination Experiences Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Destination Product Development reporting to the Senior Director, Destination Experiences.

 

This position will be working onsite from Miami.

 

Position Summary:

 

The Lead, Product Development and Events represents Silversea Cruises within the Destination Experiences Department and will assist the Manager’s in all geographical areas developing specialized events, premium shore excursion products and experiences including Silversea Exclusives. This role requires a creative and proactive individual with a deep understanding of product development with ability to leverage cross functional teams. In this role the Lead will be responsible in assisting with communication to internal and external customers including tour operators. Furthermore, in this role, the Lead will assist team members and use creativity to help brainstorm, strategize, and propose event concepts, new avenues of business and manage existing revenue streams.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for assisting and developing a range of shoreside product experiences
  • Responsible for working closely with Managers to assist in vendor negotiations, budgets product plans and destination briefings to Sales and Call center teams
  • Partner with team members to create all necessary presentation materials for senior leadership, Sales and Marketing and shipboard teams
  • Contributes to overseeing an annual budget of approximately $5M+

 

 

 

Knowledge and Skills:

Education:  2-year degree or equivalent work experience is preferrable.

 

 

Years of experience:

3+ years in Destination Management and/or Product Development experience in tourism or in the luxury cruise segment

Essential qualifications and skills:        

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Able to communicate with clients and internal management.
  • Computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and Windows Based Programs.
  • Capable of conducting travel.
  • Problem solving / analytical skills.
  • Prepare presentations using MS Powerpoint
  • Project completion.
