Celebrity Cruises Product Delivery and Operations Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Delivery & Operations reporting to the Senior Manager, Delivery & Operations

 

This position will be working onsite from Miami.

 

Position Summary:

The Lead, Delivery and Operations, Product Development reports to the Senior Manager, Delivery and Operations, Product Development and works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to align departmental objectives with the overall brand vision. The role supports execution across Ocean and River Newbuilds, Revitalization, and Owner’s Supply (OS) programs, ensuring effective delivery and operational alignment. 

This role drives hands‑on execution of Owner’s Supply (OS), supporting procurement execution and end‑to‑end logistics coordination, including yard‑related items, warehousing, and material flow within the shipyard environment. The position works in close partnership with Hotel Operations, the Site Office, and the shipyard to ensure timely, compliant, and fully coordinated delivery of shipboard and destination experiences throughout the execution and launch phases for both Ocean and River Vessels including Revites. 

This role plays a critical part in translating strategic vision into operational reality to enable a flawless launch. Responsibilities are embedded in execution and extend into coordination ownership, including back‑of‑house logistics, technical alignment, and crew provisioning through post‑delivery phases. The position ensures alignment between brand ambition and operational feasibility while driving execution readiness by coordinating materials, logistics, inspections, and on‑site operations to deliver on time, on budget, and fully operationally ready. 

The role is assigned dynamically across projects, flexing as required to support priority execution phases and delivery needs. 

Through cross-functional collaboration, the Lead will also support delivery excellence, revitalizations, special projects, and onboard repairs and maintenance.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Coordination  

 

  • Establish relationships and clear communication channels across New Build, Site Office, Procurement, Operations, Design, Legal, Risk and external partners such as shipyards, and vendors. 
  • Drive day‑to‑day execution of Owner’s Supply (OS) and the operational practicalities of the Newbuild execution phases by leading cross‑functional coordination across the shipyard, Site Office, Hotel Operations, and Product Development teams. The role ensures effective alignment of planning and on‑site execution, enabling timely material readiness, installation support, issue resolution, and seamless delivery through to vessel launch. 

 

Cost Planning 

 

  • Support the Owner Supply forecast and budget and Yard Related Items. Along with the Project Delivery and Operations manager. 
  • Actively participation on the back of house detailed design reviews, mock-up inspections, and material pre-checks to manage cost – effectiveness, ensure quality, compliance, and operational flow.  
  • Supports Practicality process for the brand in collaboration with New Build Hotel operations. 

Procurement & Logistics Owner 

  • Supports Owner Supply Procurement execution, logistics coordination and warehousing in the Shipyard. 
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the Supply Chain Management, Procurement Newbuild partners, AMOS Technical team, Global Inventory Team, shipyard Logistics and company Logistics partners. 
  • Leads coordination and execution of the OS Yard Related Items and TV Matrix with the Brand, Newbuild Design, Site Offices, Supply Chain and Shipyard. 
  • Ensure materials are delivered, staged, and installed in line with schedule. 
  • Coordinate owner’s progress and completion in cooperation with the Owner’s Work team. 

Construction & Site Supervision  

  • Conduct regular site visits, monitoring progress, quality, and safety during the build process, from initial construction through vessel commissioning. 
  • Track inspections, mock-up reviews, and first-in-production assessments of public spaces and guest accommodations, ensuring Owner’s Supply needs. 
  • Support the resolution of design issues, change requests, and technical challenges promptly to prevent delays. 
  • Lead the logistics Owner Supply execution, including material flow, warehousing coordination, and on‑site logistics supervision, to ensure timely and accurate delivery supporting Newbuild milestones. 
  • The role is deeply embedded in execution, supporting on‑site delivery and operational readiness during critical project phases. 

 

Project Monitoring & Quality Assurance  

  • Track progress against schedules, critical milestones, and budgets, focusing on maintaining high standards of quality and safety. 
  • Identify risk assessments, and develop mitigation plans for potential issues, escalating concerns as needed. 
  • Integrate logistics and warehousing readiness assessments into project reviews to proactively support milestone achievement and execution readiness. 
  • Ensure consistent and accurate reporting to internal teams and executive leadership across all project phases, using clear roadmaps and timelines and leveraging approved company platforms and the Microsoft 365 suite. 

 

Leadership & Collaboration 

  • Support Logistics initiatives and build relationships with the logistics management, shipyard and newbuild key players. 
  • Proactively identify and resolve delivery barriers through cross-functional coordination and scenario planning. 
  • Manage delivery risks such as inventory delays, vendor gaps, and cost pressures. 
  • Support punch list and POD reviews to confirm operational readiness. 

Readiness, Post-Delivery & Continuous Improvement  

  • Ensure launch execution readiness through finalized Owner’s Supply, loading, SOPs, playbooks and training. 
  • Coordinates Inspections and venue readiness including Yard related items in place and ready for handover. 
  • Support crew enablement and readiness to ensure seamless delivery of guest experiences. 
  • Support and execution coordination punch list, POD resolution, warranty claims, and asset disposition activities. 
  • Support operational teams during vessel start-up, crew training, and initial service phases, ensuring vessels meet operational and safety standards. 
  • Capture lessons learned and contributed to the standardization of execution approaches for future vessels. 
  • Provide execution support for repair and revitalization activities as required for ships in service, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact to operations. 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, Hospitality Management, Finance, Supply Chain Management with a concentration in Procurement and Logistics Management, or a related field. 
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years supporting shipbuilding, ship revitalization, or large-scale marine projects, with proven expertise in Finance, detailed procurement, inventory management, warehousing and outfitting.  
  • Proven leadership in complex cross-functional environments; experience delivering high-impact physical products (e.g., ships, destinations, hotel/resort activations). 
  • Budgeting and inventory management. 
  • Experience supporting and communicating to C-suite stakeholders. 
  • Deep understanding of operational readiness principles including SOPs, GTM planning, procurement, and stakeholder communications. 
  • Experience with tools such as Asana, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and enterprise reporting platforms. 
  • Understanding of SOLAS, IMO, and USPH regulatory requirements for Ocean and River cruise ships. 
  • Professional certifications in project management (e.g. PMP, PgMP), Supply Management or process improvement (Lean Six Sigma) are a plus. 
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
