Position Summary:

This role is responsible with supporting the Manager, Brand Strategy, in contributing to the development of strategic plans for the Silversea brand, ensuring current operations align with the brand’s current and long-term strategic goals. The position will assist with business case development, identifying value-creation opportunities, and help improve brand profitability. Acting as an internal consultant, this role supports cross-departmental projects and analysis, communicates key strategic updates to the management team, assists with prioritizing brand initiatives, and providing analytical insights to drive business improvement opportunities.

This position will report onsite in Miami, FL

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Optimize yields through data-driven inventory management and pricing strategies
  • Supports the cross-functional process of developing strategic plan and annual operating plan
  • Guides the development of multi-year strategies focused on profitability, efficiencies, optimization, and guest experience
  • Monitors and analyzes brand KPIs and initiatives aligned with the brand’s operating plan and five-year strategic plan.
  • Facilitates the monthly brand performance reporting and review process to provide actionable insights supporting brand improvement efforts.
  • Performs revenue, costs, and operational analysis to better inform current decisions that will have a long-range impact Silversea.
  • Communicates and performs high-level analysis to support the internal brand stakeholders.
  • Continually assesses Silversea strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and promotes actionable proposals to address them.
  • Maintains and enhances financial models with different scenarios, and develops alternative approaches to cost, revenue and guest experience opportunities
  •  Partners with brand operating teams to support a broad range of special projects and key strategic initiatives.
  •  Sizes investment and cost savings opportunities to pursue 
  •  Prepares senior executive level presentations.
  •  Works collaboratively with departments across the brand on ad-hoc projects
  •  Supports identification, evaluation, and recommendation of new business ideas.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  •  4+ years of finance, business analysis and/or revenue management experience.
  •  Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  •  Experience working effectively with senior management including executive level presentations.  
  • ​​​​​​​Experience working on highly analytical projects.  
  • ​​​​​​​Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • ​​​​​​​Prior experience of managing a team in a similar planning / analysis function.
  • ​​​​​​​Critical thinker, who demonstrates drive and a desire to improve processes where appropriate.
  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Able to build good working relationships with personnel at all levels located at the corporate offices and global offices. 
  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Experience of using database query tools (such as Power BI or Hyperion).
  • ​​​​​​​Strong business writing skills.
