The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Beverage team has an exciting career opportunity for a full Lead, Beverage Operations reporting to the Director, Beverage Operations.
Position Overview
The Lead Beverage Operations role oversees the management and development of Celebrity Cruises’ beverage program across both shipboard and shoreside operations. This position is responsible for defining the overall beverage strategy and ensuring its successful implementation fleetwide.
The primary goal is to continually enhance the quality, variety, and guest experience of our beverage offerings, reflecting the premium standards of Celebrity Cruises. Beyond daily operations, the lead drives revenue growth and profitability by optimizing beverage costs, expanding commercialization opportunities, and building strong vendor partnerships to deliver an innovative, immersive beverage program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Celebrity Cruises International (CCI) beverage program, including industry trends, demand forecasting, and inventory management.
- Proven ability to recommend and implement improvements to beverage offerings based on market trends and operational opportunities.
- Strong expertise in food-and-beverage pairings, with excellent interpersonal skills and a professional, guest-focused demeanor.
- Demonstrated experience in training, mentoring, or developing team members in beverage preparation and service; willingness to conduct onboard training sessions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse, global environment.
- Extensive understanding of all beverage categories and the broader beverage industry, including premium and emerging products.
- Ability to operate successfully in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Self-starter with the capability to work independently, exercising sound judgment and delivering results with minimal supervision.
- Ability to assess the unique requirements of each food-and-beverage venue and curate appropriate beverage pairings to complement the cuisine.
- Willingness and ability to assume full responsibility for assigned products and projects.
- Prepared to travel up to 20% of the time and manage related travel logistics.

Qualifications and Education
- WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 1 certification or higher required.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of extensive beverage service experience; cruise industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Formal education or training in hospitality management is considered an asset.
- Proven ability to communicate
Financial / Quantitive Responsibilities
- Lead and manage gross beverage revenue performance across the entire fleet.
- Monitor, analyze, and control beverage cost to ensure profitability and adherence to budget targets.
- Oversee the development and implementation of cocktail and beverage menus to optimize revenue opportunities.
- Create and maintain financial models, including pro forma statements and detailed operating budgets.
- Partner with the Supply Chain team to support product sourcing, cost negotiations, and overall cost-management strategies.
