The Royal Caribbean Group’s Digital Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Director of Growth and Digital Strategy & Program Office reporting to the Chief Growth & Digital Officer.
The position is onsite and based in Miami, Florida.
Position Summary:
Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Director of Growth and Digital Strategy & Program Office to support and accelerate high-impact initiatives across our Growth & Digital (G&D) organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Growth & Digital Officer, this role will act as a strategic advisor and operational leader—partnering with G&D executives and cross-functional teams to drive forward key growth, innovation, and digital transformation efforts.
This individual will lead the strategic planning process, oversee the centralized program office for G&D initiatives, and manage governance, alignment, and operational rhythm for initiatives that span our brands and business units. The ideal candidate combines a consulting-caliber strategic mindset with strong program execution, stakeholder management, and communication skills—all within the fast-paced, guest-centric environment of the global cruise industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy:
- Own the development and management of the Growth & Digital (G&D) strategic roadmap and annual operating plan.
- Collaborate across G&D functions (e.g., Digital Experience, Marketing, Data & Analytics, Revenue) to align initiatives with corporate and brand-level priorities.
- Identify and structure new growth opportunities, operational improvements, and digital innovations that enhance business performance and guest experience.
- Translate executive vision into actionable initiatives, KPIs, and executional plans.
Governance:
- Develop executive-level presentations, briefing documents, and dashboards for the Chief Growth & Digital Officer and senior leadership.
- Facilitate quarterly and monthly goal-setting, tracking progress against key deliverables and strategic objectives.
- Coordinate executive meetings and forums, ensuring materials are accurate, strategic, and aligned to business outcomes.
- Drive cross-functional accountability and integration, partnering closely with Finance, HR, IT, and Brand teams.
Program Office:
- Lead a centralized program office overseeing initiatives that span multiple G&D workstreams and business units.
- Establish and manage intake, prioritization, and governance frameworks to ensure high-impact initiatives are resourced, sequenced, and executed effectively.
- Monitor and report on initiative performance, timelines, risks, and interdependencies, providing transparent updates to executive stakeholders.
- Support operational cadence through the coordination of monthly steering committees and preparation of executive reporting materials.
Qualifications:
- MBA or Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in strategy, transformation, or program management, with experience in consulting or a corporate strategy office.
- Background in the cruise, hospitality, travel, or consumer experience industry is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in a dynamic, global organization.
- Expertise in strategic planning, program governance, financial analysis, and executive storytelling.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a high degree of discretion and professionalism.
- Skilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); experience with project management or collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Monday.com, Miro) preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities; able to distill complex topics into clear, executive-ready insights.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust with senior leaders, peers, and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of budgeting, resource planning, and business case development.
- Capable of managing ambiguity and driving clarity in a fast-paced environment.
