Position Summary:

The Director, Commercial Marketing sets the strategy and provides senior leadership for market planning and commercial activations across Celebrity Cruises. This role owns the vision for how pricing, promotions, retail  moments, and omnichannel marketing come together to support the business cycle — ensuring every deployment has  the right strategic support, that plans exist for periods of underperformance, and that the organization can pivot quickly  when results shift in real time. The Director also leads destination marketing and promotional marketing for the Celebrity brand, ensuring itinerary and destination storytelling work hand-in-hand with commercial and promotional strategy to drive demand, and leads the strategy behind the brand's database growth, supporting its execution across the organization.
The Director leads and develops the Commercial Marketing team, while personally driving strategic alignment across Marketing channel owners, Sales, Revenue Management, and Business Intelligence. The role also owns deployment communication across the organization and works in close, ongoing collaboration with Web, Trade, and Revenue Management to keep marketing and promotional strategy aligned with revenue targets. This is a senior, highly cross functional leadership role for someone who can set commercial marketing and campaign strategy at the portfolio level, translate it into a clear operating plan for the team, and represent that strategy creatively and credibly in front of executive leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Own the commercial marketing and campaign strategy across all commercial activations, ensuring every initiative ladders up to brand, revenue, and demand-generation goals.
• Lead destination marketing and promotional marketing for the Celebrity brand, ensuring itinerary and destination storytelling reinforces commercial and promotional priorities.
• Lead the strategy behind the brand's database growth, partnering with Marketing, Ecommerce, and IT/Data teams to support execution and ensure the database strategy fuels commercial and promotional targeting.
• Set the strategic direction for the annual promotional calendar, targeted offers, affiliate partnerships, and retail  moments; direct the team in translating that strategy into executable plans.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Commercial Marketing team, reviewing and approving plans, briefs, and terms & conditions before they go to market.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for integrated go-to-market plans, ensuring regional products stay on track and  intervening with a clear strategic response when they are not.
• Partner with senior leaders across Marketing, Sales, Revenue Management, Ecommerce, and Business Intelligence  to build the strategic, cross-departmental response plans that address underperformance quickly and decisively.
• Lead deployment communication across the organization, ensuring Web, Trade, Revenue Management, and other  key stakeholders stay aligned on itinerary, pricing, and promotional changes as they happen.
• Drive close, ongoing collaboration with Web, Trade, and Revenue Management to ensure marketing and promotional strategy stays in lockstep with revenue targets and pacing.
• Interpret business performance in real time and reset commercial marketing strategy dynamically — doubling  down on what's working and redirecting resources away from what isn't.
• Source, shape, and pitch new commercial marketing ideas and campaign concepts to executive and cross-brand  leadership, building the case for investment and securing buy-in.
• Set governance and best practices for retail and promotional execution across global markets (US, UK, Australia; with particular emphasis on US, Canada, and Puerto Rico), ensuring consistency of brand voice, accuracy, and compliance.
• Own the relationship with Legal on promotional strategy, ensuring new promotions and terms & conditions are  reviewed and cleared efficiently.
• Oversee ongoing brand communication changes and updates across channels, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and  operational excellence in how they are implemented and maintained.
• Guide budget and resource planning for the market planning and commercial marketing function.
• Lead and oversee the adoption of new AI tools to increase productivity across the marketing team and expand selfservice capabilities by channel.
• Represent commercial marketing in senior leadership and cross-brand forums, providing clear, data-backed points  of view on performance and strategy.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Psychology, or related field required; Master's degree  preferred.
• 10–12+ years of progressive experience across commercial marketing, market planning, revenue management, or  related disciplines, including 5+ years of people leadership (experience managing managers preferred).
• Travel, hospitality, or cruise industry experience required.
• Proven track record setting promotional, campaign, or commercial marketing strategy at scale and translating it  into a team's operating plan.
• Strong executive presence; demonstrated ability to pitch and influence senior and cross-brand leadership on  strategic initiatives.
• Experience partnering with Revenue Management, Business Intelligence, Sales, and Ecommerce to align  commercial strategy with performance data.
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; SQL or Power BI experience preferred.
• Excellent business writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence a diverse, crossfunctional group of stakeholders.
• Highly organized self-starter, comfortable managing a network of interdependent priorities in a fast-paced,  dynamic environment.
• Ability to travel as needed.
