Position: Director, Workforce & Location Strategy

Location: Miami, Fl 

Reports to: AVP, Global Business Solutions

 

Summary:
The Director, Workforce & Location Strategy is a strategic role responsible for leading RCG’s efforts in optimizing global workforce distribution and driving the global location strategy. The role will entail assessing functional areas for best location fit (right roles in right locations) and partnering with the cross functional teams on service transition design to help businesses achieve their efficiency objectives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop, own and implement a comprehensive workforce planning tools and framework, aligning staffing levels with business objectives.
  • Lead the analysis of workforce trends, demographic shifts, and market conditions to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs, skill requirements, and resource allocation across various functions and locations.
  • Oversee the development of workforce models, scenario planning, and forecasting to anticipate future workforce needs.
  • Partner closely with HR partners across locations to ensure effective recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies align with workforce planning goals.
  • Partner and provide guidance to the business aligned workforce planning leads, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Own the Onshoring / Nearshoring Location Strategy assessment framework
  • Engage with Business Stakeholders to determine appropriate functional areas for ONO and location assessment and implementation design
  • Provide oversight and thought leadership on site and sourcing management
  • Develop implementation strategies to optimize location and workplace enablement considering factors such as remote work, flexible schedules, and talent mobility.
  • Drive location planning initiatives, evaluating the performance and viability of current and potential sites based on business priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of location decisions on staffing, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to location efficiency, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Enable the GBS organization to be strategically agile with renewed focus on driving business value

 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

 

  • 10+ years of proven experience in workforce planning, location strategy or related roles with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in HRM, Organizational Design, International Business or Business Management preferred
  • Proven track record of successful global transformations - from assessment through stabilization
  • In-depth knowledge of workforce planning methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Strategic mindset and the ability to align workforce and location strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Expertise in global and cultural effectiveness with exposure to local laws and regulations in non-US countries
  • Experience working with and managing cross functional teams across time zones and geographies.
  • Experience establishing a continuous improvement culture​.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing comprehensive strategic programs to advance organization’s strategy & goals​.
  • Ability to coach and advise senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to conduct and facilitate workshops with business leaders, management and executives, team member resources, and external third-party groups.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity with demonstrated confidence & credibility.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience working for a global company as well as a growth organization demonstrating adaptability and change management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence managers and a proven track record of proactively analyzing situations, data, identifying employee needs, troubleshooting, and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to build cohesive teams and coach & develop junior employees.
  • Demonstrated experience building valued and trusted relationships with your clients and partners.
  • Acts with integrity, professionalism, and able to handle confidential information and issues with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Strong business acumen, Flexibility, and intellectual curiosity
