Position Summary:

 

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a results-oriented Digital Growth Strategist to develop a strategy to address the retail and experience shopping needs of our guests.  This pivotal member of our team will drive the acquisition and onboarding of vendors to address retail and experience opportunities onboard our ships and beyond.  Leverage your sales expertise to identify, engage, and nurture relationships with vendors, ultimately driving revenue growth and sales expansion for Royal Caribbean Group.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Partner with Digital and Onboard executive leadership to develop a product-portfolio strategy to address the retail and experience needs of 8MM cruise-customers yearly. 
  2. Develop and implement a strategic account acquisition plan to identify and target potential vendors and advertising partners for onboarding into RCG’s sales channels and commercial media network
  3. Prospect and generate leads through various channels including cold outreach, networking, industry events, and referrals, leveraging your sales acumen to effectively communicate the value proposition of our platform.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at target companies, understanding their needs, challenges, and business objectives to tailor solutions and drive successful partnerships.
  5. Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and negotiations with prospective vendors, showcasing the benefits and capabilities of our sales solutions and persuading them to join our platform.
  6. Collaborate closely with internal teams including product management, marketing, digital, IT, accounting, and legal to ensure seamless onboarding and alignment with vendor needs and platform capabilities.
  7. Drive the contract negotiation process, including pricing agreements, terms of service, and other relevant agreements, to secure mutually beneficial partnerships and drive revenue growth.
  8. Track and manage sales pipeline activity, leads, and opportunities using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), providing regular updates and reports to management on sales performance and progress towards targets.
  9. Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

 

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, advertising, marketing, sales, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. 5+ years of experience in sales, media, advertising, account management, business development, or related roles, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and building client relationships.
  3. Strong sales acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence decision-makers, and close deals.
  4. 3+ years of experience in retail sales and product portfolio management
  5. Experience in the travel, hospitality, e-commerce, or technology industries is preferred.
  6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and value propositions in a clear and compelling manner.
  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with the agility to adapt to changing priorities and navigate ambiguity.
  8. Experience bringing new initiatives to market under aggressive deadlines and high customer-satisfaction expectations.
  9. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  10. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools is a plus.
