Royal Caribbean Group’s Human Resources team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Business Partner I, HR reporting to the Partner Business Sr. HR.
This role will work onsite in Miami, Florida.
Position Summary
The HR Business Partner (I) is the first level of Corporate HR professions. They will be a strategic HR professional that partners with mid-management to develop and implement human resource strategies and programs that are in line with the individual business unit and organizational mission and vision. He/she must be familiar with all aspects of HR administration, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, learning, employment law, compensation, benefits, and HR systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works closely with mid-management to develop and implement organizational strategies that optimize the performance and overall effectiveness of human resources.
- Provides guidance to mid-management pertaining to organizational development, specifically career paths, succession planning, and organizational learning. Also works with employees providing guidance relating to their individual career path, performance management, organizational learning opportunities, and other HR related issues.
- Analyzes employee relations issues, recommends effective solutions, and works with the business to implement those solutions.
- Partners with HR knowledge experts in compensation, total rewards, recruitment, and organizational learning to develop and implement best practices and monitors their application throughout the organization.
- Works closely with employee relations and other relevant departments on investigations of ethics, discrimination, harassment, or other workplace issues.
- Partners closely with talent acquisition to ensure that hiring practices are innovative, diverse, and compliant with employment laws specific to business unit’s state or country.
- Uses advanced HR information systems to access and analyze data for reporting purposes based on client needs. Also uses relevant data to recommend solutions to HR and business issues.
- Partners with talent team to facilitate various development programs and/or courses for employees throughout the organization.

Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in human resources
- Bachelor’s degree in business. Concentration in Human Resources Management is highly preferred.
- PHR Certification is a plus but not required
- Ability to understand laws and policies and interpret these for others.
- Ability to facilitate training sessions to audiences at all levels of the organization
