KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As Analyst, Revenue Growth and Operations, this individual is responsible for supporting various opportunities and initiatives by providing assistance in the execution of incremental revenue opportunities.  This person will help support Revenue Management with help with establishing and maintaining relationships with other departments to help build consensus across pricing and promotion strategies, in inventory utilization strategies, new deployment and other revenue initiatives.  You will have exposure to Senior Management and work closely with Sales, Marketing, Hotel Operations, Trade Support and Services, Reservations, and IT.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support already established business cases that generate long-term financial impact of growth initiatives
  • Support implementation of growth initiatives by coordinating with all necessary stakeholders including, but not limited to IT, Sales, Marketing, Trade Support and Services, Reservations, Hotel Operations, and Legal
  • Ensure continuous improvement and refinement of all initiatives after implementation
  • Provide continuous reporting on status and profitability of initiatives to all stakeholders
  • Initiative scope includes, but is not limited to, ship categorization, specialized category classes (Suites, Neighborhoods, TBA), and development of other areas of opportunity
  • Responsible for maintaining reporting and monitoring initiative progress to be shared with key stakeholders (Revenue, Sales, Marketing, Air/Sea, Other)
  • Provide support to develop initiatives to increase ancillary revenues, including Non-Commissionable Cruise Fare, Cancellation fees, Trip Insurance, Transfers, Hotels, Air, Taxes & Fees, Gratuities and other areas.
  • Evaluate former system implementations and provide propositions on how to improve and assist in optimizing daily tasks.
  • Support and engage with Deployment specifically for Revenue Management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Familiarization with revenue management concepts and tools preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in project management
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and problem identification
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret revenue performance data
  • Ability to structure logically quantitative analysis of complex issues
  • Ability to operate in cross functional environment
  • Ability to manage, coach and develop direct reports
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently and use proper judgment
  • Willingness to accept immediate product and project responsibility
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentations skills
  • Ability to work in global environment
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail is absolutely required
  • Competency of computer systems and applications is essential, with an emphasis on the ability to access and manipulate data from a variety of sources
  • Strong Excel, Power point and Hyperion and basic Colonial/AS400 is required
  • Ability to write/run SQL scripts is required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once and operate in a team environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Revenue Management and micro-economics is preferred

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelors degree (BA) from four-year college or university required with focus in quantitative discipline preferred
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or Masters degree (MA) preferred
  • One to three years related experience in financial / business analysis or related field required

FINANCIAL/QUANTITIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for developing strategies to achieve revenue targets in excess of $1B in annual net ticket revenue
  • Responsible for leading initiatives maximizing other ancillary revenues

The employee is occasionally required to walk to the dock, ascend and descend the vessel. This position may regularly travel domestically or internationally. Visual requirements include distant, close and color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. The environment includes work inside/outside the office, travel to other offices, as well as domestic, international, and shipboard travel. A high noise level is possible if visiting shipboard or offsite locations.
