What does the Global Marine Operations Team do?

The Marine Operations Team at Royal Caribbean Group ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the company’s global fleet. The team oversees navigation, technical operations, safety, regulatory compliance, and crew workforce planning, partnering closely with shipboard leadership and external authorities to maintain operational excellence, meet maritime regulations, and deliver consistently safe voyages across all brands worldwide.

How you can make an impact:

The Program Management Analyst supports the Discipline Program Manager in running the program process for assigned marine disciplines, from intake of needs through funding and project-level planning. The role maintains the data, trackers, and reports that keep the program moving. Partnership with Technical Subject Matter Experts and exposure to Dry Dock planning can open up future opportunities for further Discipline Program Management or Technical Project Management.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • In accordance with Global Marine's philosophy of Uncompromised Safety & Service, each employee conducts oneself in a safe, professional, and courteous manner. This consists of physical and verbal interactions with internal and external customers.

  • All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with Global Marine's & SQM standards, and safety policies.

  • Log and track incoming needs for assigned disciplines from ships, fleet operations, and technical teams. Keep the intake tracker current and update requesters on status.

  • Gather supporting information for need identification, including ship data, photos, prior requests, and cost history, and prepare summaries for the Discipline Program Manager and Discipline Head.

  • Support project-level planning for approved needs by maintaining scope documents, schedules, and dependency lists.

  • Support the funding process by preparing inputs for Procurement Estimation and Marine Finance and tracking approval status through strategic plan creation.

  • Maintain program performance reports for assigned disciplines, covering delivery against plan, budget status, and open risks, and update them on regular cadence.

  • Compile program health measures, including backlog, aging needs, funding status, and throughput, for review by the Discipline Program Manager.

  • Prepare scope packages for handover to the Dry Dock Office at the 24-month gate, using the standard template, and respond to follow-up requests through the scope freeze.

  • Provide on-site support during heavy dry dock scope for the discipline, under the direction of the Discipline Program Manager.

  • Prepare agendas, minutes, and action logs for program meetings, and follow up on open actions.

  • Follow the Capital Program Office's standards, templates, and governance, and suggest improvements.

How to achieve success:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, marine, business, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in marine operations, technical support, project coordination, or a related field.

  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to organize and present data clearly.

  • Strong written and verbal communication.

  • Good sense of accountability, collaboration, prioritization/ruthless focus and managing expectations.

  • Interest and willingness to learn ship systems and dry dock processes.

  • Passion for continuous improvement, reliable execution and lean operations.

  • Willingness to travel to ships and yards.

  • Preferred: PMP or equivalent
