The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Onboard Revenue Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Analyst, OBR Commercial & Revenue Systems: reporting to the Manager, Revenue BI & Analytics.

 

Position Summary

The Analyst, OBR Commercial & Revenue Systems: Strategy, Performance and Pricing will implement pricing analytics and pricing administration.  Deliver timely, clear, actionable, and reliable analytics to deliver pricing and margin optimization via pricing measures while also overseeing the pricing and product in the systems. This role requires combining an analytical and sales-oriented mindset. As well as delivering presentations and reports that simplify complex information and processes.

The Analyst will be accountable for the analytics and performance assessments of ~260M+ in gross revenues and growing that is related to Shorex and Ship Experiences revenue, for pay for both Onboard and Precruise. This role will be overseeing the pricing and promotions for 3000+ tours portfolio. This role will create and recommend forward looking product recommendations and revenue accelerators.  The analyst implements the promotional strategy and promotional tactics of pre-cruise revenue.

This Role will be also supporting the Revenue systems & Program Management, overseeing the onboard Point-of-Sale (POS) system, ensuring optimal functionality and support across all new and existing ships. This role involves financial management, including month-end accruals, processing Shore excursion monthly invoices and budget analysis, as well as providing strategic recommendations to enhance departmental processes and revenue streams.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Part of a high-performing team, focused on forward-looking commercial and promotional revenue activities. 
  • Accountable for decision-making through critical thinking and quantitative/qualitative analysis, along with the effective communication of concepts, results, and potential impacts.
  • Accountable for the pricing process for Shore & Ship excursions for both Onboard Revenue and Pre-Cruise, pricing planning & forecasting and tracking and reporting.
  • Maintains the pricing strategy models across different regions and target demographics. 
  • Develops presentations and analysis that can drive decisions and facilitate action.
  • Delivers on the Pre-Cruise promotional calendar, promotional tactics, and promotion KPIs.
  • Understands complex commercial pricing models, leveraging data and analytics to develop and execute pricing strategies across various categories, suppliers, and customer segments.
  • Responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to understand product value proposition, current or proposed price points, data gathering and cleansing, deep dive advanced statistical analysis/modeling and recommendations to optimize the performance of pricing strategies and tactics.
  • Point-of-Sale (POS) System Oversight - Oversee the management of the onboard point-of-sale (POS) system, including the creation, modification of POS screens, and testing of new products.
  • Financial Management and Reporting - Take ownership of month-end financial accruals for shore excursions, invoicing, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) with a degree focus in Business, Finance or other quantitative discipline preferred.
  • Knowledge of revenue management and demand forecasting.
  • Operations Research modeling skills (optimization and linear programming, etc.).
  • Statistical modeling skills (regression and forecasting, etc.)
  • Database and analytical programming skills is a must (including SAS, SQL, Toad etc.).
  • Project management experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of the business to validate findings and conclusions and always ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Understanding of database design and information systems, structure, functions and processes, and experience with database tools
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

 

Financial Responsibilities

  • Supports the monitoring of performance, trends, profitability and benchmarks on onboard revenue.
  • Implements the pricing strategies to achieve the pre-cruise revenue goals for Celebrity Cruises.
  • Able to understand and evaluate complex issues and devise and implement successful solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to change, anticipate future needs, is flexible, overcomes resistance to change, and demonstrates managerial courage.
  • Project management experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.
  • Highly Analytical. Ability to convert raw information into applicable strategies. 
  • Highly organized.  Methodical in research, order, prioritization, and implementation.
  • Project management skills with ability to drive consensus in cross functional teams.
  • Good storyteller who can flex across technical and business, and influence people across all levels.
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the maturity and capability to interact and influence across multiple levels and a global matrixed organization.
