Analyst, F&B Data and Communication

POSITION SUMMARY:

Based in Miami, FL and reporting to the, Senior Manager Operational Excellence, the Analyst position is 100% focused on supporting the Food & Beverage team.

Then within our world class Food and Beverage team, you will be exposed to a “full plate” with real life business and operational need requests and work on projects alongside our team, all the while developing relevant skills to become a future F&B leader.

 

The role will be responsible for supporting analysis and operational needs for the department including maintaining our internal databases. It will cover data analytics and operational procedural excellence and recipe costing.  The role will also support the planning, creating, updating and editing primarily technical information, department presentations, recipes, operating procedures and SOPs. They will maintain and cost recipes, liase company photography assets and owns communication from department and efficacy of communication including but not limited to interoffice memos, websites, menu verbiage, Royal application.

As a developmental role, this job will require someone who will take initiative, project manage their own tasks, and be able to understand current company and department initiatives to prioritize their work and their impact on making great vacations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will support and build reporting, presentations, and strategies for all areas in F&B.
  • Creates ad-hoc reporting on business relative food and beverage initiatives, analyzes and compiles data found, and makes thoughtful operational suggestions.
  • Owns the entire life cycle of ideation, preparation, and planning, writing, authorization, limited analysis of a variety of F&B content that can be used online, training materials including recipes, menus, policies, procedures, manuals, WOW materials, and other knowledge assets to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate the readers
  • Supports relationship with internal buyers that relates to printing, smallwares or translation purchasing.
  • Write and proof standard operating procedures for clarity and effectiveness, and fleet communication for changes, new products, new applications, etc.
  • Consolidate, organize information, update information and technical content and find efficiencies in our database and housing all documents for fleet and transition to digital libraries.
  • Will project manage their tasks or initiatives by illustrating the planning, execution, and deliverable of that task through meeting cadences, supportive materials like presentations or trackers, and present their outcomes or conclusions to Director level and above before official communication of the initiative.
  • May support visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and newsletters.
  • Will maintain all the recipes, menus, venues, photography (company platform) and SOPs for food and beverage in a database including managing who has rights to the databases and archives all jobs once completed.
  • Plan, create, update and edit primarily technical information, regarding food and beverage recipes, operating policies, procedures and SOPs.
  • Additionally, owns communication from department and efficacy of communication including but not limited to interoffice memos, websites, menu verbiage, Royal application.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with print shop or buyers and gather estimates for mass departmental printing or smallwares needs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree (BA) of four-year college or university; in Hospitality Business, Culinary Arts, or Food and Beverage Management Required. Proven classes in proficient English required.
  • 1 to 3 years related experience in financial / business analysis preferred
  • Restaurant and Bar experience a plus
  • Adaptive design eye and menu design work preferred
  • Advance Microsoft ® Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
  • Advanced analytical skills should include mathematical modeling; data management, statistical analysis and broad exposure to operations research
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation and listening skills, including the ability to adjust and effectively interact with external customers, internal staff, food and beverage corporate and ships leadership; and executive management
  • Bold thinker with ability to generate creative and actionable recommendations to increase revenue, reduce costs and improve operational performance, efficiency and excellence
  • Ability to analyze complex data, draw conclusions, develop and execute appropriate action plans
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills to identify & interpret trends and provide achievable recommendations
  • Ability to solve complex problems with a variety of components in situations where no standardization exists
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is regularly required to sit, write, review and review recipes and manage databases and operate the computer. The employee communicates, listens, compares variables, and assesses information. The employee regularly moves about the office complex, and may climb, descend, lift or move 30 lbs.
