The Royal Caribbean Group Marine Operations team has an exciting career opportunity for a full Analyst, Decarbonization Program Management reporting to the Senior Director, Decarbonization Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
The Analyst, Decarbonization Program Management supports the execution and tracking of Royal Caribbean Group’s decarbonization strategy and roadmap. This role is responsible for data collection, analysis, reporting, and coordination to ensure consistent progress toward the Group’s emission reduction targets and regulatory compliance obligations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Data Tracking & Analysis
- Collect, validate, and analyze operational energy and emissions data from multiple systems and business units.
- Maintain dashboards, databases, and models used to monitor decarbonization performance.
- Support development of performance metrics, KPIs, and progress reports toward company emission-reduction targets.
- Program Coordination
- Assist in preparing program documentation, trackers, and meeting summaries.
- Support cross-functional coordination with internal stakeholders (operations, finance, sustainability, newbuild, and supply chain).
- Track and follow up on program deliverables, timelines, and dependencies.
Deployment & Itinerary Planning Support
- Partner with the Deployment & Itinerary Planning teams to integrate decarbonization considerations into itinerary optimization and deployment decisions.
- Analyze fuel consumption, emissions profiles, and energy efficiency implications across proposed deployment scenarios.
- Support development of analytical models that evaluate trade-offs between commercial itineraries, voyage lengths, and GHG intensity performance.
- Track carbon performance impacts of deployment changes and report findings to the Decarbonization and Marine Operations teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align voyage planning with decarbonization strategy, compliance targets (FuelEU, ETS, CII), and operational efficiency initiatives.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare draft reports and presentation materials summarizing decarbonization program status, risks, and progress.
- Assist with visualization and interpretation of complex data to communicate insights to leadership.
- Maintain organized records of program decisions, milestones, and outcomes.
- Governance & Process Support
- Support quarterly performance review cycles and assist in compiling updates for program governance meetings.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance tracking and reporting efficiency.
- Monitor emerging regulatory and sustainability developments relevant to maritime decarbonization.
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability,Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in program management, sustainability, data analytics, or consulting.
- Strong proficiency in Excel modeling and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools preferred.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize large datasets into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with carbon accounting, GHG reporting, or sustainability frameworks is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Strong collaboration skills with ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
- Curiosity and motivation to learn about maritime decarbonization and emerging low-carbon technologies.
