The Royal Caribbean Group’s Sales Analysis & Automation Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Business Sales Analyst to the Business Sales Senior Manager.

 

The position is onsite and based in Miami, Florida.  

 

The position is also not eligible for work authorization sponsorship.

 

Position Summary:

The Sales Business Analyst role plays a key role in our efforts by providing data and decision support to the Royal Caribbean Sales organization. The Analyst role is responsible for the extracting, analyzing, reporting and interpreting of sales data and providing information and recommendations to sales leadership on both regular and ad hoc bases.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting sales data to identify trends regionally, by product, by account, by market, or by segment.

 

  • Leverage modern business intelligence tools and languages (PowerBI, Databricks, SQL/Python) to extract and analyze large data sets. 

 

  • Ensure departmental metrics are tracked.  Interpret data and make recommendations to sales management regarding sales strategy, process execution and revenue opportunities / risks.

 

  • Provide information and recommendations to leadership on both regular and ad-hoc basis.

 

  • Provide analytical support on tactical and strategic special projects.

 

  • Develop, implement and enhance high impact business reporting involving commercial trends and marketing return on investment.

 

  • Aid senior members of the team by building and maintaining revenue and guest sourcing forecast models.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Finance, or similar major from four-year college or university, or similar work experience.

 

  • Previous experience in financial/business analysis.

 

  • Ability to travel outside of the country.

 

  • Analytical skills capable of interpreting large data sets and trends.

 

  • Experience with modern reporting tools (i.e. Python/SQL, Oracle, DBeaver/Databricks, and PowerBI).

 

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

 

  • Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy in data and analysis.

 

  • Ability to work, interact, and communicate with external / internal customers.

 

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 

 

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematics and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

  • Work on projects independently and as part of a cross functional team.

 

  • Ability to solve complex problems with a variety of variables in situations where no standardization exists.
