The Royal Caribbean Group’s Global E-Commerce Engineering has an exciting career opportunity for a full time AEM Technical Lead reporting to the Software Engineering Manager.

 

Position Summary:

 

As an AEM Technical Lead, you play a pivotal role in leading engineers within multidisciplinary Product teams. Your mission is to translate business objectives into reality by developing software that delivers exceptional user experiences. Collaborating closely with Product owners and other stake holders, you drive the technical implementation of features and enhancements across our customer-facing digital properties, leveraging Adobe’s robust Digital Marketing Product Suite. Your ownership extends to ensuring the technical delivery and quality of the software products we produce. 

 

Job Description and Qualifications: 

 

  • Strong prior experience as a software developer and senior technical lead resource. 

  • Proficient in Frontend architecture and AEM (Adobe Experience Manager). 

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe AEM 6.4/6.5 and AEM as a Cloud Service. 

  • Delivery of mission-critical systems in a mature agile organization, including hands-on experience with eCommerce applications. 

  • Strong expertise in Java development, including hands-on coding experience with Java-based applications. 

  • Conceptualizing, designing, building, and deploying solutions. 

  • Leading remote engineers. 

  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills and a strong aptitude for learning new technologies and methodologies. 

  • Exceptional debugging, testing, and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Crystal-clear communicator in both verbal and written form. 

  • Experience with Full Stack AEM, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular, NextJS, and GraphQL. 

  • Deep understanding of front-end architecture, MFE, and software design patterns. 

  • Proficient in working with caching, message queues, SQL, and NoSQL databases. 

  • Adherence to superior coding standards, along with good documentation and DevOps practices. 

  • Optimize applications for performance, minimizing page load times, and addressing bottlenecks. 

  • Lead by example and actively participate in AEM development tasks. 

  • Mentor and guide developers, participate in code reviews, and adhere to best practices. 

  • Comfortably build testing methodologies to ensure performance, security, and functionality. 

  • Collaborate effectively with cross functional teams in a lean agile environment. 

  • Analyze systems in production using analytics, monitoring, and experiments. 

  • AEM certification is a plus.
